Wedding reception flowers at The Venue Navenby

The wonderful reception of S&R's wedding was held in the lovely The Venue at Navenby. A place we hadn't set up at before but it is a lovely light space that can be dressed to suit your style. Roger who was our contact, was full of ideas that could be used to personalise the space. If you are looking for a venue that is large, seats up to 175, more than most Lincoln venues, and has great space outside, especially if lots of children are attending, then do check it out.

To the flowers;
We were honoured to take this wedding on, a superb colour mix and from previous posts here and here, excellent flowers and designs.
The bride knew more or less what she wanted and it was up to us to create these designs.
The top table wanted to be a long and low, without trailing but a country mix of flowers and foliage to suit the bouquets.

At either end we placed a small candelabra on a mirror.
We also placed bay trees around the venue and the two pedestals from the church were being brought up to stand behind the table.

The lovely top table display

Our bay trees with the other wonderful decorations which are by Emma Louise at Elegant Touches, always a pleasure to work alongside this lady.

Our small candelabras adorned the guest tables, again in ivory, yellow and purple with lots of herbs and scented foliage. When the candles are lit and the room is warm these really will fill the air with sweet scent.

Mirrors and candelabras can be hired with or without flowers.

The room is a large space waiting to be filled with your designs and ideas.

Bay trees and candelabras to enhance your guests enjoyment of your wedding day.

All displays are set up for you on the wedding morning and all hired items are dismantled and collected the following day, in conjunction with the venue staff. All included within any quote given. Saving you or your guests hassle in getting items back to us.

If you are holding your wedding reception (or any event) here please do get in touch to ask us how you could style the space.
If you love the designs and are getting wed elsewhere, ask us for a quote to deliver and set up your requirements.

St Peter at Eastgate Church wedding flowers

Today we take a look at the beautiful church wedding of S & R.
They were married at the beautiful and busy St Peter at Eastgate church.
We were asked to provide flowers for the entrance including flowers for the gate and archway swell as designs for inside

We tied a couple of 'pew end' style bunches to the metal gate so when opened they hung close to the stone pillars.

The archway was hung delicately to the outside of the recess as fixings allowed. Our beautiful bay trees stood proudly either side the doorway to welcome guests to the ceremony.

It started to rain as we were setting up, always good when up a ladder, but once finished the sun came out (typical) and stayed fine and dry for the rest of the day.

Guests first look at the style of the day.

The beautiful archway was 10 gorgeous blousy ivory roses set amongst ruscus and passiflora foliage with a large organza bow central top.

Beautiful roses and an odd passiflora flower.

The gate flowers of eustoma, freesia, roses and herbs.

We also provided two traditional style pedestals, one for the back of the church

and one for the ceremony space at the front.
Mostly in ivory and yellow with a hint of lilac to add to the purple theme of the day.

It is a while since I have set up in here and in that time the pews have been replaced with chairs. Sad but it does enable the church to hold different functions within it, and talking to the warden, it has been a really successful undertaking.
Pew ends therefore are now on chairs.
We grouped roses, freesia and sol amongst Myrtle, Rosemary, Pistachio and ferns. All tied together with a small organza bow.

On alternate chairs was a larger ivory organza bow.

The brides eye view down the aisle.

The church smelt amazing when we left.

When you have an archway to do, help is required, and they insisted on taking all the photos while I set up and caught me in the act. So a rare action shot of me doing what I do!

The beautiful interior of tis amazing church.

Are you having a church wedding? Getting married in St Peter at Eastgate or another local church? We can style your flowers and aisle as you wish. We have many examples on here, just search labels - Church:.........

We are open to your ideas and love a challenge, we also are very aware of the fabric of the building and always seek permission to arrange anything to the actual building like archways.
We will happily discuss your designs with the vicar or wardens to talk through any fears they may have.

Please get in touch to discuss your church flower styling today

Wedding flowers at Washingborough Hall

Today we continue our series of local wedding venues and another fabulous one we love dressing is Washingborough Hall.
Recently extended it can now cater for a larger wedding and the rooms are stunning. A perfect venue for a country house hotel wedding.

The entrance is appealing straight away, the stone steps can have added decoration like our bay trees or garlands around the posts.

For your ceremony, simple designs such as these wine glasses can add a spice of colour to the neutral surroundings

or stay neutral with a table runner of gyp. Beautiful lanterns and candlelight will add to the atmosphere.

Beautiful stone pedestals adorned with a traditional style pedestal will brighten up any corner.

Such a beautiful room you may decide doesn't need large flower displays. Keeping it low with table posies will add a romantic feel to the room.

Our cute pumpkin vases can hold small posies of blooms such as gyp to add elegance to the windowsills.

More table posies for your guest tables

or for a more modern take, wooden crates will work with a true country set up.

want something more glamorous? Our tall candelabras certainly bring more elegance to the room

table rose petal confetti will bring a touch of colour lower down.

Not a lover of candles? These flower balls floating on clear vases have been a hit. We have various size glassware to suit any occasion. Always with your guests comfort for ease of conversation in mind.

Don't forget your top table. You may be holding court to your guests but your table should shout celebration! Our long and low designs can be as vibrant or otherwise as you like. Loads of trailing or not depending on your take and other decorations you have.

Not a fan of one design? Here we had 3 wooden crates with jars of lavender and gyp between, the recent was outstanding with mixed herbs in the crates.

Bring that scent to your guests and fill the room with summer scents.

Lots of love for this venue, we have seen many changes within over the years. Always a pleasure to dress and style for the room and staff.

If you are holding your ceremony and wedding breakfast here or for that matter at another country style hotel, get in touch to see how we can transform the room to your personal style.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon
