Purple and Lilac wedding flowers

A lovely intimate wedding which we supplied the bridal party flowers for a few weeks ago.
The colour scheme was purple an lilac in which eustoma, freesia, roses, carnations with senecio foliage was chosen.

These bouquets are a lovely summer mix in colour and variety.
The brides bouquet was given a lace bow over a wrap of lace on the stems.

The bridesmaids wore purple gowns and as such their bouquets were kept to the lilac theme. These had beautiful roses, freesia and carnations and look scrumptious!

The stems were bound in lace to compliment the bridal bouquet.

The groomsmen wore a double buttonhole of a lilac rose with purple eustoma flower and bud and silver senecio foliage.

All buttonholes are presented on a board all ready with a pin.

We also supplied 2 thank you bouquets for presentation at the speeches.

Unusually we delivered to the groom and what a handsome bunch the groomsmen were in their finery.

County Assembly Rooms purple wedding centrepieces

This wedding reception was held in uphill Lincoln at The County Assembly rooms.
The colour theme was continued from the bridal bouquets (here) through the table displays but with a twist.

The top table was a compact design of a mass of gyp with a few agapanthus heads and campanula flowers and buds to add colour.

The guest table centrepieces were 3 cylinder glass vases of differing heights. One held purple calla lilies, one agapanthus heads and one a lilac rose with gyp, all submerged under water with a floating candle. These were all arranged on to a log slice.

These arrangements are fabulous as the water magnifies the flowers really showing off the colours.

The County Assembly room ballroom is a gorgeous space to hold your reception

The room was still being dressed by the venue when we set up so unfortunately didn't get full set up photos.

All the vases and logs were hired from us and we always collect (where possible) early the next day so you can get on with enjoying the start of married life and not worry about getting items back to us. We aim to make the process as stress free as we can.

Do you love these simple yet gorgeous displays? We can add other flowers or colours to tailor make them to your wedding. Other vases are also available from different shapes to different heights.
Book a consultation today to talk through your ideas and plans for your wedding flowers.

Getting married at this venue, we have set up here lots and have a few examples on the blog and have more in our portfolio. In the right side labels list search -

Purple and Lilac wedding party flowers

This is the wedding of the lovely Becky whom I met through a networking group I attend.
She already had the colours sorted but wasn't sure on what flowers would be available in purple. Now there aren't as many varieties as say pink, but what are out there are gorgeous.
After showing a few photos of different designs Becky decided she liked the shower style of bouquet. From this she also picked out calla lily and roses with eustoma, campanula and agapanthus.

Minimal foliage was used but asparagus was a filler

The 3 bridesmaids carried an overarm design of purple, white and bi coloured calla lilies with aspidistra leaves and bear grass.

The groomsmen wore a lilac rose with purple campanula florets, asparagus fronds and bear grass loops.

The mums wore a purple corsage of a lilac rose, purple eustoma and campanula flowers, asparagus fronds and loops of bear grass.

The 2 flower girls each had a silver heart wand with campanula and eustoma flowers. These were adorned with a lilac organza bow with trails.

The wedding flower presentation box all ready for delivery to the bride.

Is this your style? Wedding colours? If so get in touch to see how we can recreate all or part of this wedding especially for you. Whether you love the flowers as they are or you want to take inspiration from these and add your own varieties we can advise and guide you through the process of designing your own bouquet. Get in touch today to book a consultation and start the process of choosing your dream flowers.

Come back tomorrow when we post the reception flowers
