The White Playsuit Edit

When it comes to summer fashion, I am all about the trends highstreet shops have to offer, as well as the classical summer pieces I can never seem to let of. I love how highstreet stores and online boutiques create fashion pieces that mimick designer material, allowing those who can't quite afford a jewel-embellished Valentino jumpsuit the chance to style something similar. This year I'm totally loving the off shoulder theme - most people have been rocking this everywhere I seem to go. Off the shoulder pieces look extremely classy and look good as simple tops (with beautiful fringing), playsuits AND summer dresses. Being a poor sufferer of sweating to death in warm weather, I tend to steer clear of thick materials so summer is a time for chiffon, lace and maybe mesh if I'm feeling confident. I cannot stand restrictive clothing/material that sticks to you as you try to enjoy a gorgeous Summer's day (something England lacks highly, so when we do get a bit of sunshine, we want to make the most of it whilst feel comfortable also).

THE OUTFIT

Being a huge fan of Boutique of Molly clothing and the incredible creator herself, I was thrilled to style another of her gorgeous playsuits. The effort into forming quality materials, in-trend pieces and clothing that people love is taken to another level. Effort was clearly shown in this stunning white playsuit number. I am in love with wearing white in Summer; it complements my brunette hair and highlights sunkissed skin. This would be a complete holiday evening winner! The Mila playsuit is made of thin, chiffon material with intricate crotchet details on the arm cuffs and above the chest and an off-the-shoulder element. Although I'm a huge fan of the off shoulder trend, I can sometimes find it uncomfortable to suit bras to my outfit or feel like the piece isn't supportive enough, leaving me exposed! However, this fashion statement has thin straps to ensure unwanted exposure is prohibited and that you are not feeling paranoid. Finally, the piece has a vintage essence - the cuffed crotchet sleeves fan out as flares. The combination of vintage and modern trends enhances the playsuit's uniqueness. As you can tell, I'm loving it!!

To accompany this classy evening outfit, I paired it with my gorgeous shoes, which I must say were a fabulous Missguided bargain (£12) - white open-toed strap heels with gold embellishment around the ankle. Additionally, my jewellery consisted of silver-jewelled earrings, my much-loved Pandora bracelet and Swarovski Vittore ring. Silver jewellery is literally my thing at the minute, which you would know if you followed my social media. I think it can add such a element of class to ANY outfit and I am obsessed. Let me know in the comments if you have any jewellery inspo/pieces you want to share with me.

The Summer Classics

Throughout the Summer, I find it almost impossible to avoid the classics - pinks and florals. These two factors are my fashion essentials in times where I 'don't have anything to wear' or 'anything Summer appropriate'.  Summer is also a season known for the lighter, vibrant colours to pop out! Pale pinks can look incredibly sophisticated under the sun's glow, making the colour perfect for evening wear alongside the entirety of the day.

To add something extra to my block colour outfits, I love wearing light, detailed kimonos to 'spice up' my attire. For today's Summer look, I've opted for this rose-patterned kimono - the weightless, flowing material and cuffed hands worn over a strapped white crop feels comfortable under the Summer heat (looks like we finally have some this year in England!!). The mid-length pastel skirt can be easily flaunted at Summer events, evenings out or simply at a family barbecue; the thick mesh strip at the bottom was my favourite touch to the skirt, initially temping me into buy it!

Floral crowns are another of Summer's many hypes - especially for all the festival lovers. I believe choosing the right flower type/colour for your hair is vital when attempting to accentuate an outfit. For me, I always accessorize with white as it contrasts and complements my dark brunette locks. You can find these beautiful bad boys in shop and online - they are everywhere at the minute. Primark do lots of great deals on headpieces (usually ranging from £1-£3!).

The sun really brings out my skin's natural radiance; therefore, I turn to my BB creams during Summer. Fortunately, this is handy as less coverage makeup feels lighter on the skin. However, you know me, I don't love anything more than full coverage so it is very rare that I'm comfortable in my skin. To complement the 'pink overload', I popped some Bourjois Jasper Rose on my cheeks to add a rosy sparkle with the NYX Matte Lipstick in Aubrey to incorporate some vibrancy into my look.

Finally, I decided to add a gold chained, pink floral necklace to my look - as if this outfit wasn't girly enough? Statement necklaces are a winner in Summer - they make such a beautiful addition if you are wearing low cut tops and block colours.

Sunday Adventures in the Sun (featuring Firmoo)

Now that exams are looming, for those who are students, like myself, the sun has spitefully come out in England whilst we are all crammed inside studying out butts off! Sunny days are one of nature's finest - something that can simply make my mood for the rest of the day. Therefore, my revision was taken to a much prettier landscape, in hope to motivate my procrastinating tendencies at this time of year.

My boyfriend and I absolutely love to go for walks and discover new places. Today we decided to keep this Sunday adventure to a minimum and keep it within easy walking distance from my home, as we didn't manage to leave the house until four this afternoon. We equipped ourselves with a picnic blanket, revision material, sweets and plenty of cold water. Hydration is one of worst possible things, for physical and psychological process in the body, so make sure if you do revise in the sun, you are regularly consuming water. On sunny days like this (27 degrees celcius! FINALLY!!) I cannot resist the temptation of wearing a nice outfit and photographing it; the sun makes everything seem much more picturesque.

The weather was extremely humid, signalling loose clothing and strappy sleeves. Accompanying my outfit, I wore a plain brown rucksack to help carry all the necessities to our revision site. I tied my lightly-curled hair into a high pony - wearing my hair down is a huge no-go when the weather is hot, I cannot stand the my hair clinging to my skin.

My Outfit:

Playsuit - Primark
Shoes - New look
Rucksack - Forever 21
Sunglasses - Firmoo

Fortunately, we found a quiet spot on a large field surrounded by trees and other greenery - only a couple of dog walkers passed by in the 3 hours we spent there! I love when the sun is hidden behind the trees; when the rays reflect through the branches I find it impossible to not take a photo. We chilled, revised and admired the nature surrounding us - the heat and atmosphere got us so excited for our two week holiday next year. If you guys have any recommendations of hot countries then let me know in the comments below.

My top essential for a sunny day would honestly be sunglasses - sun damage to the eyes is one of the most dangerous things you can expose your body to. My eyes also seem very sensitive to brightness so tinted sunglasses are a life-saver in the sun to prevent my eyes from watering like crazy! These beautifully crafted sunglasses were gifted to me by a brand called Firmoo; they offer an incredible range of prescription, and non prescription, glasses to their buyers. I was very impressed with the swift delivery and to see my shades encased in a stunning, rustic map glasses case. The pink frame and gold detailing is very flattering alongside the insane defined reflective feature. Reflective glasses are THE one, as you will all know if you've stuck by my little blog for some time.

After packing all of our bits and bobs, we left off for home. However, we got distracted by the pretty fields that were on the opposite side of the road to our revision zone. Being both very excited as the sun was starting to beautifully set on the landscape, we decided to take some final images of our little day journey.

Don't forget to check out Firmoo to see their stunning range of (sun)glasses! Let me know which ones are you favourites from their website down below!?

Cosy Spring Style for English Weather...

Spring in England is always so disappointing for me. As much as I would love the days to be warmer, the sun to shine and flowers to bloom, the weather never lives up to my expectations. How I long to live in a country where the weather doesn't fret from one extreme to the next...

Anyway, today's blog post is a collaboration with the beautiful Abi Hunter from the blog Lady Hunter. Her images and writing are so professional; I can never stop myself from reading one post to the next! Her social media and blog will be linked below - don't forget to check her out!

Whilst I'd much rather get out my daisy designs and summer dresses, it is only practical to stick to cosy attire during the English Spring. Therefore, I've opted for a long-sleeved striped top from Forever 21, a black pencil skirt and some thin opaque black tights. For the Winter to Spring transition, I still tend to wear tights as the weather is not warm enough to start getting my legs out. To make up for that, I tend to wear a light pair of tights to cover up my extremely pale legs, alongside keeping them warm.

Layering is also essential during Spring, thus I wore a complementary beige knit cardigan to layer on top of the t-shirt. As well as the two pieces complimenting each other, this simply makes me comfortable and warm, whilst dreaming I'm still snuggled up in bed. Over my top, I accessorized with a copper locket. Finally, although not photographed, I paired the outfit with some burgundy heeled boots to invest in a more smart-casual look.

Ultimately, this look wouldn't be complete without a bold, peachy spring lip to liven up the outfit. I applied a generous coat of Bourjois' Velvet Matte lipstick in 'Peach Club. Benefit's Rockateur blush also came in handy to spruce my cheeks up with a sparkly pink glow.

Where do you live in the World? Do you have issues with the weather where you are?

Lots of love
