Red rose and white freesia wedding flowers

This wedding was from a while ago but never blogged. Another lovely intimate wedding with a red and white colour scheme for the flowers.
The bride chose a teardrop bouquet and I feel these work especially well with roses and freesia.
These are gorgeous Gran Prix roses with white freesia, ruscus and fern foliage.

The maid of honour carried a posy of beautiful white roses with ruscus foliage

and the bridesmaid carried a posy filled with gorgeous white freesia and foliage.

The groomsmen each wore a red rose and the groom wore a rose and freesia buttonhole to match his bride.

The ladies all had a traditional corsage of white freesia to compliment their outfits.

These are all simple designs but the flowers used create the wow factor and set against beautiful dresses will create a stunning look for you and your maids.

Purple Calla lily wedding flowers

I loved this wedding, the purple calla lily are just stunning.
Marianne brought in a photo of a bouquet she had seen online and asked if I could recreate as close as possible. The bouquet was full of calla's, large leaves behind and bear grass with pearls threaded through the flowers.

We agreed on the colour of the calla's and left the foliage to me.

These callas had a natural bend in the stem and they naturally trailed to give a shower type shape.

The one bridesmaid had a smaller overarm bouquet with a more rigid shape to the design.

The two flower girls carried a posy of 3 calla lily, loops of bear grass and a few small dark leaves.

All stems were bound with ivory satin ribbon.

The groomsmen wore a single calla lily with loops of aspidistra and beargrass

The other special guests wore a single ivory rose with bear grass loops and dark small leaves.

All buttonholes had matching ivory ribbon.

Buttonholes ready to be presented to the bridal party.

I was honoured to be asked to provide these wedding flowers and was very happy to be given a hug by the bride on delivery and her comment of 'They are much better than I had hoped for' really does make the stress of trying to recreate a design more than worthwhile.

If you love calla lily and would love these designs for your wedding or just love the different style please get in touch to book a consultation today.

Pretty pink and champagne wedding flowers

Today we take a look at this gorgeous wedding of the lovely A and O from a few weeks ago in April.
The colour scheme was pink and champagne with roses, peony, wax flower and carnations.

We used a combination of roses, bombastic spray, garden and standard and along with the peony and wax flower the scent was divine.

The 4 bridesmaids carried smaller versions of the brides with more pink to stand out from their champagne dresses.

The stems were tied with blush organza.

The groomsmen wore a classic style buttonhole of a champagne rose with asparagus fern.
(This was the page boys mounted on to a safety pin)

The buttonholes and corsages on their presentation boards all ready for delivery.

The ladies wore a traditional style corsage in a mix of flowers from the bridal bouquet

All boxed up and ready for presentation to the bride.

One of the garden rose blooms that is filled with petals and packs a punch with scent.

Pink weddings are always a popular choice and peonies in particular are very popular. (Their season is from April to July)

Ivory roses and gyp wedding flowers

This wedding from November is very simple but very pretty bouquets of ivory roses and gyp.
The brides bouquet was small ivory roses with gyp and ruscus foliage mixed through and around the roses.

The stems were bound with white satin ribbon.

The two bridesmaids carried a smaller bouquet of 3 ivory roses with a cloud of gyp and foliage as a collar.

Stems bound as brides, with white satin ribbon

The flower girl carried a small bouquet of a single rose with a small cloud of gyp.

The stems were bound completely with satin ribbon for comfort for little hands.

The groomsmen wore a single ivory rose and leaf

The ladies wore a single ivory rose with sprigs of gyp and foliage surround.

The presentation box ready for hand over to the bride.

Blush and Ivory rose wedding

Alice had a really good idea of what she wanted for her bouquet and looking through my designs she saw something similar. A teardrop bouquet of roses. We adapted it slightly with Quicksand and Avalanche roses with added sprigs of gyp and ivy for foliage.

Quicksand roses are a gorgeous blush come Mother of Pearl type colour.

The bridesmaids both carried a simple bouquet of gyp.

Hessian was bound around the stems to go with the country wedding style.

Groomsmen wore a single ivory rose with sprigs of gyp and ivy leaves.

Alice had decorated most of the inside of her marquee reception with artificial flowers but her mum wanted to surprise her with a fresh flower archway for the entrance.

This was covered with locally sourced foliage including ivy and decorated with Quicksand and Ivory roses and gyp bunches.

The top had a lovely organza bow

The reception marquee was in the grounds of the wonderful Hackthorn Hall, a place I had not been to before but the village has family connections so it was lovely to see even on such a gray day.

I was also asked to provide a couple of thank you bouquets to give during the speeches in wedding colours.

If you are looking for a venue to hold your marquee reception then do have a look at Hackthorn Hall. They have just launched a new website and contact details.

If you like any of these designs and would like them to discuss how they would work for your wedding please contact us to book a consultation.

Are you looking for an archway? We have two styles the above metal arch or a rustic pole square frame. Both can be rented and covered in a variety of ways to suit your budget. Please ask us for more details.
