The Lake District Wedding Day of Sarah & Michael at St Patrick's Church Patterdale and The Inn on the Lake at Ullswater

This really was a pretty wedding, we've had great fun planning the flowers with these two gorgeous folks and I am going to miss our appointments dreadfully, we met up with Sarah & Michale a few times, firstly to get to know each other a good year or so ago, I loved their plans for their stylish stationery and their ideas for a rich colour palette, they'd booked some great suppliers so we were looking forward to working with Flossy & Leigh Make Up & Hair designers,  Steven Barber Photography and we couldn't wait to see Sarah's Ella Rosa by Kenneth Winston gown from Bride 2 Bee in Prestwich.
We got together again this March to see how their plans had further developed, Sarah & Michael's mood board was beautiful and inspired our ideas which we presented as sample designs at our last appointment in April

We'd created a sample bridal bouquet for Sarah to hold and try out
A sample boutonniere for Michael to try we decided to make the Rose 'slimmer' for the actual day by pinning the Rose so ensuring it wouldn't 'bloom' too much!

A suggestion for the top table design
An idea for the pedestals in church and the guest tables
At last the big day arrived and our Chloe and Tom headed up to the Lakes
Chloe un-veiled the bridal bouquets and handed them to our Bride and her Bridesmaids ready for the all important FD Events Bridal Bouquet carrying lesson
Sarah's gorgeous wedding bouquet included a plethora of seasonal materials and fragrant fresh flowers; David Austin's Kate Rose and the Peonies provided the rich and vibrant hot pink shade which teamed perfectly with softer pink Sweet Avalanche Roses, Ranunculus, Sweet Peas, Astilbe and Sarah Bernhardt Peonies, the lilac & blue hues were provided by Love in the Mist 'Nigella', Grape Hyacinths 'Muscari', Memory Lane Roses and Freesia, I'd also included some fresh Lily of the Valley and Astrantia in Ivory to compliment Sarah's gown.
Te Bridesmaids bouquets were created as smaller simpler versions of the Bride's Bouquet
Chloe showed everyone how to carry their Bridal Bouquets beautifully

The Bride's Mum's Corsage included some of the same blooms we'd used in the bridal bouquet and was designed to match her ensemble

Chloe & Tom headed off to St Patrick's Church in Patterdale to set up for the ceremony and to meet the Bride Groom and his Groom's Men to pin on their Boutonnieres

The Boutonnieres and Groom's Mum's corsage were all lined up in the porch ready to be pinned on when they all arrived
The Bride Groom's slender boutonniere featured a Kate Rose with rolled Rose Petals and Muscari
The Groom's Mum's Corsage in shades of ivory, lilac & purples included Freesia, Rose buds and Hydrangea florets
Inside the Church we'd dressed the alternate Pew Ends lining the aisle with posies of fresh flowers

The Font and our two pedestals were dressed with one of our 'Verdi Gris Bird Baths' topped with a candlelit hurricane lamp surrounded by a garden of fresh flowers
Fresh fragrant Stocks, Peonies, Muscari, Roses, Freesia, Astilbe and Hydrangeas were arranged around the central hurricane lantern

The two pedestals at the top of the aisle were positioned to frame the ceremony perfectly

Sarah's super handsome Bride Groom Michael was first to have his Boutonniere pinned to his lapel

Chloe pinned on all of the boutonnieres ensuring each one was positioned perfectly

The Groom's Mum Joan looked  lovely and her corsage matched her outfit perfectly
Here come the girls, the Bridesmaids and Bride's Mum...
The very elegant Bride's Mum Liz

The Bridesmaids all looked gorgeous in their grey gowns, their vibrant bouquets looked sensational
Our stunning Bride the breathtakingly beautiful Sarah with her super proud Dad Bob

Gorgeous Spring Bridal Bouquet in Pink, Lilac, Blue and ivory shades

Huge Congratulations to Sarah & Michael from all of the team here at Flower Design Events

Our team along with the fresh flowers from Church followed the Bridal party over to The Inn on the Lake where the celebrations were continuing

Inside the dining room the scene was set for the wedding breakfast
Our beautiful hurricane lamp designs were set on slate mats the fresh flowers surrounding them looked perfect in their new surroundings

The Top table was dressed with posies of fresh flowers and tea light votives set on slate

Smaller verdi gris urns were filled with posies of fresh flowers

The stunning wedding cake looked so beautiful with the lake behind creating the perfect back drop

Just behind the top table we placed the bouquets that Michale would be presenting to the two Mum's during his speech

Our work here was done it was time to leave the party in full swing, many thanks to Sarah & Michale for choosing Flower Design Events to create their wedding flowers for them. xxxx
