Purple wedding reception displays

Having blogged about colour in wedding bouquets (see purple designs here) and gone through the more popular colours, we now go through the same colours but for the reception designs. Mostly featuring table centrepieces for your guest tables.
Starting with purple again, we feature many types and styles of designs to bring ideas and inspiration for your planning.

One of my favourite low designs, a nest of vines with a display of lilacs and purples with lovely foliage. A lovely alternative spring display.

Bird cages are very popular with a country theme. These designs are encased within the cage (left) or just with a few trailing sprigs (right).

Or if you want more glamour, our black urns may be for you? Filled with gorgeous ivory roses with purple Vanda orchids for a splash of colour.

Our cylinder vases can be arranged in groups of 3 and have flowers of your choice. Here we have calla, agapanthus and rose.

Our gorgeous tall candelabras can be arranged with flowers in so many ways. This display is to suit a country garden style but still keeping the glamour of the crystal chimneys.

Or for total glamour style with a ball of roses, carnations, eustoma and foliage.

The top table will look stunning with a long and low of your chosen flowers

or we can work with the venue stylist if adding ribbons and swags to your table.

For a larger, deeper table other displays can be added either end like these lily vases with roses and bear grass.

Or with candelabras for a candle lit mood later in the evening.

You don't have to stick with just purple, and or white, add in another colour to brighten the theme.

Pedestals are not just for church. Use them for your civil ceremony and then move to your top table or cake table, or to greet guests as they arrive.

Wanting to keep tables simple? Fish bowls with floating flowers work well

or wrap them around the bowl, callas are perfect for this

Or fill the bowl with beautiful blooms and fairy lights.

Country crates are popular. This one is filled with flowers and herbs, adding a lovely aroma to the day.

Wanting tall designs without blowing the budget? Our lily vases can be filled with many flowers, here with purple September and eustoma.

We have martini vases go many heights. These are just the right height for your guest tables. A central delphinium spike surrounded with roses, carnations, astro and more.

To add mood lighting around your venue, our hurricane vases with tea lights can be hired and blooms added to them to suit your theme.

Or fill them with flowers to dot along your top table

Buckets can be filed with your favourite blooms too

Our small candelabras can be styled with gorgeous flowers and used at the main centrepiece

or for the top table alongside the taller ones for the guest tables.

Don't forget the humble posy. These have their place, either as centrepieces in their own right or to jazz up the outer bar area as here at The Dower Hotel.

And last but certainly not least, the jam jar. An ever popular favourite. Here there is one jar filled with flowers and foliage, teamed with a fern plant and a tea light.

Whatever and however you want your reception styled, we can provide expert advice and on the day set up. We also clear down if our vases are used and hired, early the next morning, while you enjoy your breakfast usually.

We have many many more ideas, but these are perfect for a purple theme. If you are having other colours, they can all be tailored to that too, just ask for more options.

I hope this has given you inspiration and if you would like to talk through your flower displays with us please book an appointment. Either email/ring or you can now book online.
