Epic Posting; Rich Vibrant Colour for Jenni & Wolf's Wedding Day at The Asylum Chapel & Brixton East London

This wedding was a labour of love, Jason & I have known Jenni's family for about twenty+ years, Jenni, Natalie & 'Little Timmy' along with our Rebecca & Olivia were the very last children left in 'Late Room' at school every single evening without fail.
Jenni and her family have enjoyed Flower Design flowers for all of their special occasions for more years than any of us care to remember and I have enjoyed making them.  Jenni's fabulous Mum the lovely Ruth & Natalie have attended our workshops & flower arranging classes, so we really know these folks, we know their flower taste, which makes it an absolute joy to get creative for the ultimate family celebration a Wedding!!.
Jenni once promised me that wherever in the world she should get married I would be making her wedding flowers,  she's lived all over the world so thank goodness it was only London!!! It was a massive honour and a huge privilege to be there in London on the biggest of days with a van filled to bursting with glorious fresh wedding flowers!!! Thank you Jenni, Wolf, Ruth, John, Maki, Natalie, Tim, Doris & Wolfgang for allowing us to be a small part of your spectacular day we loved every second of it xxx
~
So this is how our wedding flower story starts... so way back last year Jason & I headed off to London to meet up with Wolf & Jenni, it was lovely to meet Wolf for the first time and discover how well suited these two are, we had a great morning visiting their wedding venues, The Asylum Chapel  in Peckham was completely mind blowing, outside it looks so majestic.
Inside it looks so naked, stripped back and ridiculously atmospheric, we loved it!!!
The stained glass windows provided us with some colour inspiration

We very nearly almost got them to reproduce this pose on their wedding day but you'll have to scroll all the way through the post to see that!!xx
We headed off to Brixton East 1871 to see the venue for the wedding reception and met up with the really helpful and super welcoming Andy and the team
We checked out the space and planned our flower ideas

Jenni & Wolf created a Mood Board and filled us in with their outfit plans, food ideas, entertainment and cake plans
In February Jenni, Natalie & Ruth came in to see a set of sample designs we'd created, due to their seasonality we couldn't show them the Peonies we wanted to include at the end of April but we could show them the general flower vibe we intended, this included a whole host of blooms with significant meaning, more than just a nod to Jenni & Wolf's own heritage, English, Indian, German and Scottish elements were all gathered together to create a magical bouquet...
The sample Bridal Bouquet created for Jenni
The sample Boutonniere created for Wolf
Sample Table and Pedestal designs were also put together
The meal would be including a 'Fondue' so that needed to be accounted for, golden pineapples featured
At long last the big day (for us the longest day) finally arrived, Jenni's bridal bouquet looked scrumptious, I'd included fresh Jasmine, voluptuous Peonies in Coral & Burgundy, Thistles, Heather, Jasmine, Roses, Orchids, Lily of the Valley, Blossom, Helebores, Pineapples, Ranunculus, Anemones, Muscari, Forget Me Nots, Astilbe, Rosemary, Peppermint and Blossom in a rich and vibrant colour scheme.

Jason & I found our beautiful Bridal party at The Windmill where they were all getting ready

The fragrance of Lily of the Valley, Jasmine and English garden Roses filled the air

I showed everyone how to carry their bouquets perfectly

I fitted the Bride's Mum's wrist corsage

The Bridesmaid's Bouquets were all created as smaller versions of the Bride's Bouquet

Next stop was the spectacular Asylum Chapel
Inside we'd set the scene for a magical wedding ceremony
Two of our huge Blossom Pedestals dressed the stage set amid a plethora of chapel candles and fresh fragrant Rose Petals
Two more Urns filled with fresh blossom, Peonies, Roses, Proteas and Jasmine framed the stage sat on the two stone plinths
The aisle was lined with posies of fresh flowers and garlands of Smilax Fern with a scattering of fresh fragrant Rose Petals

Chair Dressing Posies

Our ancient pedestals and urns were filled with tall Peach Blossom, Spirea Blossom, Delphiniums, Stocks, Peonies, Proteas and Viburnum Blossom, the fresh relaxed foliages tumbeled over the sides of the urn

I lined up all of the boutonnieres near to a window so I could see to pin them on to the Groom and his Groom's Men
Each Boutonniere was created uniquely made from the same palette of fresh flowers as the bridal bouquets

Corsages for Maki & Doris

The rather special Bride Groom's Boutonniere featured fresh Muscari, Ranunculus, Rolled Rose Petals, Spirea Blossom, Eryngium Thistle, Helebore, Sweet Peas and Astrantia and was bound with navy blue ribbon to match his navy blue velvet jacket
First to have his boutonniere pinned to his lapel was Jennifer's super handsome Bride Groom Wolf
Best Man Vishal was next

Jason the Best Best Man ever, did a brilliant job

'Tiny Timmy' not so tiny anymore all 6'5" of him!!!xxx
The Mother of the Bride Ruth looked simply sublime in her navy blue gown

Maki was wearing an ivory and green corsage

We'd made a smaller boutonniere for Aki

These pretzels were absolutely delicious Jason & I may have had a few

Wolfs lovely sister Nicki and her adorable children

Ruth's lovely blue and ivory wrist corsage looked great with her blue gown
The Mother of the Groom Doris
We'd made Doris a corsage in blue and ivory to compliment her royal blue ensemble

The Bride Groom's super proud Dad

Our Bride arrived in style...

The Bridesmaids looked fabulous

Natalie the Chief Bridesmaid was wearing a gold Indian style gown and the Bridesmaids were wearing navy blue gowns

The celebrations moved on to Brixton East
The guests were to be seated at long trestle tables

The golden pineapples made the perfect table number holders
The gorgeous wedding cake by Lizzie from Dolly Dew Drops Cakes

Our large golden pineapple vases were filled with fresh flowers and looked fabulous on the dining tables

The superb seating plan

Our work here was done, absolutely exhausted we headed for bed and a good 13 hour much needed sleep, thank you to both Jenni & Wolf's families for asking us to create flowers for such a special and memorable day!!!xxxx
