Lillie & Graham's Snowflake Silver Grey & White Wedding Day at Thornton Manor

We do love working at the fabulous Thornton Manor, it's a great venue on the Wirral, it really is a dreamy place to dress with our fresh flowers. It always seems the Brides & Groom's who choose Thornton Manore have exquisite taste and Lillie & Graham were no exception.
We'd first met them way back in August 2015 when the lovely Lillie was a bridesmaid for Ashley & Phil's wedding at The Grand link, we feel very lucky to work with such lovely people and it's always a huge joy when they recommend us so we get to meet up with them again.
~
After an initial meeting we got back together with Lillie and Graham in September to go through their beautiful mood board and to make plans for their bridal designs, we arranged for them to come back to the Fd Events Studio in mid November to see a set of samples designs prepared exclusively for them.
Now the lovely Lillie really wanted Peonies for her wedding bouquet but with the wedding being on the 21st of December it was a really big ask, I didn't want to make a promise we couldn't keep so we designed the bridal bouquet without Peonies but agreed that if a miracle should happen I would include them in her real bouquet.
The sample Bridal Bouquet included Earl Grey Roses, Silvery grey Senecio, Kochia, White Anemones with Charcoal centres, Grey Albiflora, white Ranunculus, Avalanche Roses, Tulips and Snowball Hydrangeas
Graham's sample boutonniere included an Avalanche and a Snowflake Rose Bud with a Ranuculus and a Rolled Earl Grey Rose Petal, we'd bound the stem in silver grey satin
We'd created a set of table centre ideas for them to see and choose from in line with their budget and their brief using the images from their mood board to guide us.

At last the big day arrived and a minor Christmas Miracle had a occurred in the form of some beautiful white Peonies which were now included in the wedding bouquets
Jason showed everyone how to carry their wedding bouquets perfectly and attached the pompoms to their bouquets a lovely keepsake from our Bride.
Lillie loved her wedding bouquets and was delighted to see the Christmas Peonies

Downstairs in the dining room the scene was set for the ceremony, with two of our magnificent pedestals framing the ceremony space perfectly

The Registrars table was dressed with a swag of fresh Roses, Hydrangeas, Stocks and silver grey foliages

Graham, Lillie's super handsome Bride Groom was first to have his boutonniere pinned to his lapel, Jason pinned each one on ensuring they were positioned perfectly
Graham's Earl Grey Rose Boutonniere matched his silver grey tie and pocket square immaculately
Jason pinned on everyone's Boutonnieres and corsages

The Bridesmaid's all looked completely gorgeous in their pale silvery grey gowns

Our beautiful Bride took everyone's breath away as she descended the stairs with her super proud Dad

Lillie was wearing a gorgeous gown by Angelina Faccienda from Molly Brown's in York

The Bridal Bouquet looked absolutely perfect with Lillie's gown, we'd included White Peonies, Earl Grey Roses, Hellebores, White Ranunculus, White Anemones with charcoal Centres, White Tulips and silver grey foliages

Huge and ginormous Congratulations to Lillie & Graham from all of the team here at Flower Design Events

A shower of fresh Rose Petal Confetti for our Bride & Groom

Too gorgeous for words!!!xxx

Whilst everyone enjoyed the winter sunshine, back inside Thornton Manor the flowers for the reception were taking shape, fresh fragrant Rose petals and candlelight dressed the table surrounding the Seating Plan tree
Fresh Rose Petals were sprinkled around the wedding cake
Posies of fresh flowers dressed the occasional tables
Inside the Music Room at Thornton Manor a magical winter wonderland awaited the bridal party, the dining tables were dressed with a combination of high and low table designs

Fresh Pussy Willow crowned these hugely tall table vases, Flower Bombs in Ivory and silver grey dominated the room spectacularly

The lower table designs were created using posies of fresh flowers in ivory and silver grey shades illuminated by silver tea light votives

The truly magnificent Thornton Manor Christmas Tree towered over the music room impressively
The top table was dressed with a swag of fresh flowers and a series of tea lights and snow kissed fir cones

Many thanks to Lillie & Graham for choosing Flower Design Events to create their wedding flowers for them xxxx
