Top 5 Beauty Products ¦ March 2016

Over the first three months of 2016, I would like to say I am proud to be following through with one of my New Year's resolution - frequently changing the cosmetics in my makeup bag so that I utilise all of my products. However, this month these five items became staples in my everyday morning routine. In fact, I've been loving them so much I just had to tell you about them!

Also, this post is in collaboration with @BeautyandBrushesX from Instagram; don't forget to check out her top 5 current beauty products on her blog!

BRONZING

~ Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess ~

Since Christmas 2015, I have worn this on my face every single time I've applied makeup - and there STILL isn't a significant dent in the product. Hallelujah! This bronzing powder helps me to achieve a natural, luminous glow whilst defining my non-existent cheek bones. The warmth of the brown is very flattering on my dull skin and boosts the life in my, usually very sleepy, face.  A product I will forever repurchase and rave about!

~ Real Techniques Bold Metals Contour Brush ~

When it comes to makeup application, I always acquire the best brush for the job - I have made many a cosmetic fault by using my fingers or wrong brushes to blend in my early teens. Therefore, I find it vital that I find the best brush possible to apply product. For contouring, I finally got my hands on one of Real Techniques Bold Metals brushes - The Flat Contour. Contouring has been made simple with a brush that can evenly, and precisely, apply product in the hollows of your cheeks, along the jawline, nose and elsewhere. Oh, and it's rose gold - BONUS!

BROW DUO

~ Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Chocolate & Angled 12 Brush ~

HOLY GRAIL BROW PRODUCT. My brows are a nightmare to work with - they are such a weird colour, my inner brows lack any hair at all and there are both completely different in shape. I know the old saying 'eyebrows are sisters, not twins' but mine are honestly not related. However, I have found something to cure my non-fleeky brow days - the Anastasia Dipbrow and brush. LIPS

~ Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Bond Girl ~

On Valentine's Day, I was very lucky to spend the day in London and have a mooch around all of the makeup shops - something my boyfriend didn't like doing as much. In Selfridges, I managed to pick up my very first, and well-loved, Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in the shade BOND GIRL. This for me has been my go-to nude of the month. I don't usually wear pale, orange toned nudes as they completely wash me out, so this mauve/pink toned nude has been my March saviour.

FRAGRANCE

~ Valentino Valentina Perfume ~

Finally, I have been reaching for my old fragrances - like Valentino Valentina - this month as they somehow bring back memories for me. I always relate smells to events/days in my past and I think it is such a memorable way to reminisce. This classy, feminine bottle holds deep white floral notes with inital sweet citrus bursts of berries. Perfect for the upcoming Summer months.

What beauty products have you been loving this month? Have you tried any of the items I spoke about?

Happy Easter! ¦ Mini Egg Chocolate Tiffin Recipe

Happy Easter!

Without further ado, I present to you one of my favourite recipes - with a twist! I absolutely love making chocolate tiffin (malteser being my absolute fave) so since it is Easter Sunday, I thought I would bring you a delicious, easy-to-make dessert, mini egg style.

I hope you like the recipe and don't forget to send me photos on Instagram/Twitter if you try it out!

Ingredients

225g Digestive biscuits, crushed
2 tbsp Caster Sugar
2 tbsp Golden Syrup
110g Margarine
4 tsp Cocoa Powder
225g Milk Chocolate
150g Mini Eggs

Method

1. Crush all the digestive biscuits up and place in a mixing bowl. I recommend crushing them in a bag and using a rolling pin.

2. Melt the margarine, syrup, sugar and cocoa powder over a saucepan. Once melted, add 3/4 of the mini eggs to the mixture.

3. Pour the melted mixture into the bowl holding the crushed biscuits. Mix thoroughly and pour into a baking tin.

4. Melt the milk chocolate in a separate saucepan and pour over the mixture in the baking tin.

5. Decorate the top with the remaining mini eggs (or any other easter treats) and leave in the fridge for 15+ minutes.

This Easter, I kindly asked my family NOT to buy me any Easter eggs - I am reaaaaally trying to eat better and hundreds of choccie calories were not going to do my belly any favours! Instead, I was fortunate enough to receive some vouchers, cuddly toys and money (with a couple of chocolate presents here and there).

I hope you are all having a wonderful Easter, whether you are spending it with friends, family or for some, working. Have a fabulous day! Now...off to my Nan's for a lovely family dinner.

JORD Wood Watch Review

Last month I was extremely overwhelmed and grateful to be contacted by Justine - who works alongside JORD WOOD WATCHES. After visiting and scouring their website, whilst eyeing up many beautifully designed timepieces, I was more than welcome to agree on working with them.

A new watch was high up on my wishlist for Summer - not only would one stop me from checking my phone every two seconds, it would also help to keep me on track for sixth form, when September swiftly comes around and further complementing an outfit as an added accessory. The timing was perfect. The people at JORD wood watches were willing to send me a watch to review, keep and share my opinions with all of my lovely viewers (that's you!).

JORD Wood Watches is a company that originates from St Louis, Missouri in whom have created numerous unique styled watches - they have ingeniously combined one of the world's natural elements (wood) and turned it into a modern trend. I've never seen wooden watches before and I definitely took a fancy to these intricately designed beauties.

Shipping was quick - less than the estimated 7-14 days to arrive! My timepiece was packaged in a complementary wooden box further fitting the theme, holding not only my watch on a JORD embroided cushion but excess material incase the strap was too small (along with a cloth to clean its face).

After being wooed by the shipping and packaging, it was time to investigate my new watch... I chose Fieldcrest in Maple ($120) because I personally felt that this coloured wood was universal and could be paired with absolutely any oufit. However, there were many coloured wood designs that did tickle my fancy and may do yours so don't forget to check them out too!

Many of the JORD watches, including mine, have a deployment buckle with push button to fasten the timepiece onto your wrist. This fascinated me as I could easily put on and take off the watch without having to ask someone for help - the standard buckle is quite a struggle for myself with a single hand. I loved this idea!

Finally, I would like to mention that measurments are taken to ensure the watch fits perfectly to your wrist. You have the oppurtunity to print out a ruler to guarantee excellent security on the wrist. Not only does this company tick all the boxes, the people who work for them are fab; they are so approachable and friendly (I've had so much fun working with them:-)!)

Overall, 100% worth the money, from the exceptional service to the unique product, I am very happy to say the least. Thank you for reading and don't forget to check out the range of watches at the top right of my blog.

Despite working with this company, I would just like to let you know that all opinions are my own:)

Black, Turtle Necks & Bodycon

Long time, no speak. Sorry once again...I really need to organise my time but I've just been caught up with school work and everything! Anyway, today I wanted to upload a little post about my latest fashion obsessions - bodycons, turtle necks and the colour black.

Recently, I have been buying multiple black items - I have no idea why, I just think it looks so sophisticated, classy and most importantly, you can rock any lip colour with it. My favourite lipstick to pair with a black outfit definitely has to be nude (purple lips are a close second). If you love black too but think this dress looks dull, I would definitely spice it up by wearing some gold jewellry; it goes perfectly with black attire in my opinion!

My second fashion musthave at the minute are bodycon dresses. These slim styled dresses walked into my life about two years ago and I've gained an increasing obsession with them. Despite disliking my figure, I really love the way bodycon dresses hug mine because it makes me look slimmer than I actually am. These dresses are also perfect for those who want to show off their curves too.

Finally, one of the latest fashion crazes are turtle necks; I used to hate them so much and they made me feel so claustrophobic and suffocated. Only recently have I bonded with these little guys - they are ideal for Winter, but the dress above can be worn in the Summer as it is very light and thin. I love the cute turtle neck tops too, they look so gorgeous with denim jeans.

Dress ~ £8.00 from Primark ~ I do love a good bargain!
