Making A Gingerbread House

Today I've got of a bit of a belated Christmas post, although it is still the festive season. On Christmas Eve, my boyfriend and I decided to make a gingerbread house and decorate it. Luckily, IKEA sold pre-made gingerbread pieces that we Aidan structured into a sturdy ginger home followed by myself making the roof and building pretty, decorating everything with icing sugar, coloured designer icings and lots of sweets.

Here's the creating process through photos...

It was really fun making a Christmas/Seasonal Themed food post. I'm hoping to make this an annual thing; also, I may begin to upload baking posts in the coming year. If you like these styled posts, let me know.

Most importantly, this post was a #holidaycollab with some of my lovely girl blogger friends I collaborated with earlier on in the year. If you want to take a look at their festive posts (fashion, food etc) then click on their links below :

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas - leave me a comment letting me know what you got!

Lots of love

Festive Nail Polishes

Nail polishes become one of my favourite things around Christmas time. During the rest of the year, I usually find painting my nails an irritating chore but when Christmas arrives, I can't help feeling completely happy as I spruce up my nails with a red, green or glitter polish.

At the beginning of the month, I attended Clothes Show Live with my best friend, Jess, and I received tonnes more nail varnishes to add to my winter/Christmas collection - a few of which will be included in this mini top 5 post. Enjoy! x
