The Red Carpet Edit

Today's post is inspired by the plush attire in which can be rented from The Black Tux along with my personal aspiration of walking the red carpet one day..*in my dreams*. If I ever attended a red carpet event, this is the look I would go for - classy and intense with a whole lot of glitter! I mean, what is an award ceremony without sparkles, eh?

Now is the fun part! Imagine your celebrity man walking down that red carpet in none other than the fashion season's favourite...THE VELVET JACKET TUXEDO! I can't explain how much I'm loving this trend/fashion statement - I'm a total sucker for velvet material and imagining your favourite guy walking alongside you dressed in this suave attire, you both will definitely be looked at for the right reasons.

The Black Tux offers this Velvet Jacket Tuxedo accompanied by Merino wool tuxedo pants to rental for such an incredible price - especially with such high quality materials. For this style, the jacket sizes are available from 36-42.

I absolutely can't help coveting outfits I would love to wear if I were to attend such a prestigious event. Matching your man (and the walkway!) with Khloe Kardashian's red velvet dress would look so hot, Amanda Seyfried's stunning halter with beautiful embellished detail is to die for and who cannot love Beyonce?! She just looks incredible in everything she wears - *sigh*.

Check out The Black Tux to see all the other amazing rental suits and tuxedos!

What would your go-to outfit be for a red carpet event?

Lots of love

Spring/Summer Evening Look

Clothes:

Top ~ Select (£2.99)
Skirt ~ Boohoo (£10.00)
Shoes ~ Newlook (£11.99)
Hairband ~ Primark (£1.99)

Since the weather has been ridiculously beautiful recently, I decided to purchase some new 'summery' skirts (this number above being one of them!) I absolutely love this gorgeous daisy pattern and think it would look perfect on an evening out. This small white crop top makes this outfit even more summery, paired with a jewelled floral hair band.

Makeup:

Foundation ~ Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation
Concealer ~ E.L.F Conceal Palette
Blush ~ Urban Decay Naked Flush Palette in Streak
Bronzer ~ Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess
Eyebrows ~ Rimmel Brow pencil in Dark Brown
Eyeshadow ~ Naked 2 Basics Palette
Eyeliner ~ Collection 2000 Fast Stroke
Mascara ~ Revlon Lash Potion
Lipstick ~ Maybelline Colour Drama Velvet Pencil in Berry Much

What is an evening look without a dark red lip? Maybelline's drama velvet lip pencils are affordable, long wearing and highly pigmented, not to mention their stunning colour range. I definitely need to buy some more of these - but this colour is most definitely the one for this look. The soft, sultry brown eyes are also uber pretty, especially with the thin feline flick. I decided to intensely contour; I love a good ol' bronzed glow in the summer, it makes my skin look super healthy and radiant.

What would you wear on a summer evening night out? Are you brave enough to wear a dark lip?

Love you all,

Pink Lips, Winged Liner & Simple Shadow

Products used:

Primer - Smashbox Photofinish
Foundation - Mac Studio Fix Fluid NC15
Concealer - Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Eraser in Light
Contour - Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess (Temples and Cheekbones)
Blush - Mac Fleur Power
Highlight - Benefit Watts Up
Eyebrows - Rimmel Pencil in 001 Dark Brown
Eyeshadow - Naked Basics 2 palette (Stark on lid and Cover in crease)
Eyeliner - Soap and Glory Super Cat Liner
Mascara - Revlon Lash Potion
Lipstick - Mac Lovelorn

I thought that today I would upload a pretty simple makeup look because I haven't in a while and lot of people enjoyed them previously. I love how gorgeous the finish is of the Mac foundation - I luuurve high coverage. The lipstick adds a lovely pop of colour to the look, as I decided to do simple eyes for those, like myself, who haven't yet mastered the art of eyeshadow-ing! I've also been really into winged liner recently and it fits perfectly with this little daytime designed face.

Hope you all have an amazing weekend!

Love

P.S. Hoping to upload tomorrow too if I get the chance (Hint - It's all about concealers)
