We went into this part of our trip with zero recommendations from friends so I was pretty worried it would just wander aimlessly and be a mistake to add to our itinerary since there was still so much to see in Lisbon...happy to say I was wrong! It ended up being our favourite city.

We fell in love the city immediately. It was all dressed up for Christmas and even though it was the

101 in 1001 Days...

Setting goals is something I love to do - not only to motivate myself but also to have that sense of accomplishment. On a daily basis, I love to write down things down that I need to do or goals I want to achieve before the end of the day. The satisfaction of ticking each task as the day goes on fills me with a humble feeling of pride. I've tried to be as realist as possible, evidently with some extremities. However, I hope to achieve as many as I can in the time frame. It seems like ages away but I bet it will come round sooner than I think... Will keep you updated every couple of months to see I've achieved any of the above :)

Festival Vibes

The weather is slowly, but surely, becoming warmer and the night's are becoming lighter. We all know what this means right? Festival season has begun and I couldn't be more excited to see my favourite celebrities in their designer wear rocking their classic festival style looks. Whilst I'm dreaming that I'm at Coachella having the time of my life, I'm really standing in my garden, under the sun's mere glow and dressed in a more affordable outfit.

Festivals are all about the denim shorts and pretty, colourful crop tops. As I'm not very 'body-confident', I like to wear something that either covers my stomach or my legs to make me feel a little more relaxed and at ease. The worst feeling is being uncomfortable, especially when you're supposed to be having a good time. Thus, I've opted for this super comfy, loose playsuit with a deep cut V.

The patterns are something that instantly intrigued me; I'm a huge pan of intricately patterend clothing and was so happy to get my hands on it. Also, the rustic orange colour complimented my dark hair and wouldn't draw too much attention to myself as it isn't too vibrant. Finally, I'm loving the gathered feature located at the stomach - the accumulation of material gives the illusion that you have a slimmer waist. Something I definitely want to achieve, haha!

My favourite part - the sunglasses. As you all will know by now, if you've been following my blog for some time, I am sunglasses-obsessed! Seriously, I have an evergrowing collection at the bottom of my wardrobe which is almost toppling out... Anyway, these sunglasses reflect gorgeous shades of pink, orange and yellow - colours that mind me of a sunset (another thing I love). Oversized glasses are my thaaang and to top it off, they match my oversized playsuit :)

Playsuit : Forever 21 (similar style) (similar pattern)
Sunglasses : Yes Style

London Bound ¦ April 16

London is one of my happy places. It honestly excites me so much when I have day trips there, whether is be sightseeing, visiting one of their attractions or my favourite - shopping. This time, my family were travelling to Angle Islington to watch my friends in 'In - Nocentes' by the National Youth Dance Company. Going to watch my friend perform was very important for me as I'm auditioning for a place in the company this year...super exciting!

However, before stopping at Angel, we had a couple hours to spare. This is where I struggled to restrain myself from the beautiful shops on Oxford Circus and Regent Street; my bank account is honestly crying at the minute so I wasn't able to go crazy. I did buy a couple makeup items in Boots, with the help of a good ol' voucher and my mum kindly treated me to a gorgeous playsuit from Forever 21.

Selfridges is always my favourite place to shop/look in London. I literally want to buy all the designer bags and shoes; there were so many Kurt Geiger clutches I was lusting over it was ridiculous! The beauty floor is obviously my primary place to go - the Charlotte Tilbury stand always looks incredible with their spotlight display.

My rust-orange, patterned playsuit was from Forever 21. The material is super lightweight so will be perfect in the summer (maybe not in England but..) and the style is super flattering because of the ruched-detailing at the stomach. Additionally, the deep V neck allows you to glam-up the outfit with a statement necklace if you were to wear it out in the evening.

In Boots, I had two gift cards to utilise; I decided to go to the drugstore side of Boots as I hadn't purchased anything from there in a while. L'Oreal have always been one of my favourite drugstore brands so I decided to purchase some needed products from the stand - the Lumi Magique highlighting concealer and the Superstar Super Liner. Fortunately, there was a '3 for 2' offer on the counter so I managed to pick up one of their new matte lip products in 'Oops I Pink It Again'. After swatching it on my lips last night I am already impressed - the sponge end allows precise and smooth application to the lips.

For my evening makeup, I ventured for a purple/grey smoky eye look with a nude lip.

Products used :

~ Nars Sheer Glow ~ Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer ~ Rimmel Stay Matte Powder ~ Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess ~ Benefit Rockateur ~ The Balm Mary Lou Manizer ~ Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Chocolate ~ Urban Decay Smoky Palette & Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette ~ Maybelline Gel Liner ~ Revlon Lash Potion ~ Model's Own Liner (waterline) ~ Charlotte Tilbury Bond Girl ~

The performance was honestly breath-taking - I love contemporary dance and it has been my passion for the last couple of years. I cannot wait to audition for the company in the Summer! My evening was successfully completed with a Mango & Passionfruit cooler from Costa alongside a triple chocolate muffin. Mmmmmm.....

Where is your favourite place to travel to?

A couple of weeks ago, we found this interesting list of day trips from London while trying to drum up some reviews to help us prioritise our weekend adventures (we are getting better and better at making the most of Friday-Sunday trips and Saturday only day trips)

There is an ever-growing list of places we want to see and things we want to do.
It will never reach zero, ever. But we're

This day of adventure took us to Cambridge University!

Family Visit to London - Feb 2015

We wanted to show off our city to our first family visitor!

We walked from the Waterloo Bridge to the Shard. It's about a mile and a half walk along the river Thames so we got to see some iconic London sights on the 30 min walk on the Southbank.

First stop: Get the view from the Top of the Shard. This is the tallest building in Western Europe. It houses a hotel, corporate offices and

Italy

Since I can remember, I wanted to go to Italy. Then my husband's job brought us to London...only a 2 hour flight from the romantic cities I could only dream about. Let the adventures begin.  The Church of San Lorenzo. I was surprised at how many people there WEREN'T trying to get into this central church. Maybe because it sits on the edge of the shopping district and very plain on the outside but
