This was such a great wedding and we alway's knew that it would be, this family have spectacular taste and we've been lucky enough to provide wedding flowers for the Wigglesworth family twice before and once before for a New Years Eve Wedding.
The family own Staining Lodge Golf Club and Wedding Venue, a splendid space perfect for family celebrations of all kinds but most particularly weddings, nothing is ever too much trouble for these guys and the marquee allows for any theme or colour scheme to really take shape. Staining Lodge is set in the heart of Lancashire on the Fylde Coast, just down the road from FD HQ as a result we get to work there often and always have a great time.

So it was such a huge privilege to be asked to create wedding flowers for James & Ruth's big day, a few weeks ago Ruth & Laura came in to our studio with the mood board, Black gold and ivory were the colours with a Gatsby theme, Ruth wanted to see how the wax dipped gold roses would look in real life, so plans were made for Ruth to come back with her parents to see a set of sample designs created specifically to their brief.
A bouquet of gold roses was presented to Ruth with a froth of ivory Gypsophilia to reflect the pearl detail on her gown
A Golden Rose Boutonniere was created for James, bound in black satin to match his black tuxedo
We prepared table design ideas
A suggestion for the top table too
Before the big day, Ruth had a change of heart and the Gold Roses were changed to White Avalanche Roses instead, I had the massive pleasure of presenting the bridal bouquet to Ruth over at Breck Apartments where the Bridal party were getting ready, the fabulous Sonara Parker MUA was busy making beautiful faces even more beautiful
The bridal bouquet of Avalanche Roses surrounded by 'Par Excellence' Gypsophilia looked perfect
The Bridesmaid's Bouquets were created as smaller versions of the Bridal Bouquet
We headed off to St Annes Church at Singleton where team from Typical Type were dressing the front of the church with lights, the perfect illumination for a dark December day
Festoon lights dressed the Lytch Gate and the pathway leading to the fabulous arch way
Inside this beautiful Church we were greeted by the lovely Norma Boyd who always makes us feel so welcome. We were limited for space with the Nativity Crib so beautifully set up to the right so our Gold Candelabras on pedestals were the perfect choice to frame the ceremony.
Our Gold Byzantine Candelabras were dressed with Avalanche Roses, Golden and white Gypsophilia and white Hydrangeas
Posies of Roses and Gypsophilia dressed each alternate pew end lining the aisle
The fabulous boys from the Gypsies of Bohemia
The plan was to meet the two adorable little Flower Girls at Church, we'd made them miniature versions of the Bridal bouquets
The Boutonnieres included a white Norma Jean Rose with a gold painted Rose Leaf and Gypsophilia, they were all bound with black satin so they would appear as if they were floating on the tuxedos
Laura & Ewan with their gorgeous family were first to arrive, Happy Anniversary to them xxx
