Civil Ceremony flower ideas

Today we are looking at civil ceremony's and how you can style the space for saying 'I Do'.

If you are very fortunate and your venue is allowed to have a ceremony outside (and the weather is kind!) you could get wed under something like this arbor. This one at The Dower House Hotel is one of our favourites, so easy to decorate and the setting is superb.
Whether you choose all foliage

or flowers and foliage it will sure look stunning in your photos.
It really is a lovely setting to get married in.

Beautiful photography from Richard Moore.

Or the second best is an orangery, lots of light and hopefully sunshine to enjoy through the ceremony. This is at Stoke Rochford Hall, thanks to Mark Pugh for the photo.

Most venues, however, are inside but these can be decorated to suit your style and colours and you are guaranteed to stay dry.

Our usual display for the ceremony table is the long and low, this can be made in many styles, from large leaves and flowers for a structured look to light and fairy with small dainty flowers for a country look.

We can also provide the bay trees dressed with roses and ribbons and base of your choice.

Elsham Hall
Most of these displays will be transferred across to your top table for the wedding breakfast.

If long and lows are not your style then you could opt for a posy, these work well if moving to a round top table.

Or you could decide to keep it simple and add in small jars of flowers with possibly a trail or two of foliage.

Different jars and heights add interest to mixed stems of flowers.

Or how about a garland for the table? A simple hanging garland of daisies and foliage.
Our trees can also come with fairy lights

Or a larger fuller table garland the full length of the table

Or the same design but with compact gyp. Add in pretty lanterns for a winter wedding.

Washingborough Hall
Don't forget the space around the room, and note how the room will be used after the ceremony. At Cleatham Hall this room usually has a table or two for the reception. The fireplace design will feature in both and the ceremony table flowers will be added to the top table.

Here at Elsham Hall the jars of flowers for both (yes there is usually two) tables will double up as centrepieces for the guest tables and the two gorgeous pedestals will sit either side the top table. But using all flowers for the main bit, the ceremony, creates a pretty space for your vows.

We can also provide an arch for an indoor ceremony, space allowing. (this one belongs to Elsham Hall but we have 2 styles, rustic and metal).
We can cover with organza, foliage or flowers or a combination of all.

We will set up and dismantle this for you however you decorate it.

We can even add in fairy lights for you!

You still have an aisle to walk down don't forget. It may not be as long as a church aisle but still decorate the space. Here we have hurricane jars of daisies hung on chivari chairs.

Or, back to an outside ceremony (we can set these up inside too) shepherd crook hangers with jars of flowers.

Straw bales are the in seating for outside functions but do ask your venue, some have banned them due to the mess.

Do look around and see what you can use your guest table designs for during the service. Most venues are happy to reset your designs for you on the change over while you have photos. Or if a more difficult set up we can stay around and do this for you.
We love giving you value for money and reusing flowers for different parts of your day will help with that. Ask us for more information at a consultation.

If you have seen anything you like here for your own wedding then do get in touch to discuss your style and colours. We have many more options to style the space whatever type of venue you have chosen.

We look forward to hearing from you soon
