Royal Outfit of the Day: August 25

Being an avowed Shoe Person, it's about time I got around to the accessories in my fictional closet raiding. You know who has a good closet for accessory collecting? Princess Beatrice, that's who.
Princess Beatrice attended an event in 2012 in a Roksanda Ilincic dress with an Anya Hindmarch clutch and Nicholas Kirkwood shoes.
Her overall wardrobe game is on a steady upward climb, but her hats (love 'em or hate 'em) have always been showstoppers. And in the past few years, her shoes have been equally fab. This blue pair can be mine any time. Actually anything in this whole outfit is welcome in my closet, but the shoes get a special invite.

If you could have one thing from Beatrice's closet, what would it be?

Royal Headbands of the Day: May 12

Crown Princess Mary traveled to Norway on Friday, where she joined Crown Princess Mette-Marit to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Heligoland.
This is that outfit that I liked before on Mary, but I liked it better without the hat, but I still prefer Mary's hat to M-M's "hat", which is not a hat but a headband with some stuff on it, if you see what I mean. Anyway: M&M-M's DAY OUT! It's like a Girls' Night Out, but with more pantyhose. (And yes, Mette-Marit is wearing the By Ti Mo dress we saw before, just in a different color. She must have liked it just as much as I did.)

In other fancy headband news...
Also last week, Princess Letizia held audiences at Zarzuela Palace, wearing a Hugo Boss skirt and a headband from children's brand Nanos with stars on the side.
What's this? My stars (see what I did there), what do we have here?! Well, well, well. Is Letizia having a little fun with her outfit for a change, or are her daughters dressing her now? You know what, I think I'm good with either answer.

Royal Outfit of the Day: February 26

Queen Mathilde joined King Philippe for a visit to the media corporation Medialaan yesterday. Her black Natan dress is owned by Queen Máxima in gray. Click here for a video, offering the best looks at the outfit.
They're baaaack! The Natan twins, of course, for another round of Who Wore It Best? And though I still feel the toga-esque shoulder flourish is baffling, I'm giving this one to Mathilde - the gold belt and gold bracelet are making the look. (I'm not used to giving matchy-matchy Mathilde props for her accessories, this feels a little strange.) I suppose the benefit of the one-shouldered deal is that you can always look at it from one side only, and that's just what I'll be doing.
