Burgundy bridal party flowers

This was a fabulous wedding from last November, the bride met me at one off the wedding fayres I exhibited at earlier in the year. She was quite specific on all aspects of the day, from colour, flowers used and style and hopefully we got there with these lovely displays.

The bride's bouquet was an overarm hand tie design, quite heavy with the flowers used but looked lovely when held. The flat bouquet doesn't necessarily do it justice.
Included were cymbidium orchids, lilies, calla lily, roses, thistle, dahlia and gunnii eucalyptus.

The roses had diamante pins to add a little sparkle.

The bridesmaid bouquets were of roses, calla lily, thistles and dahlia with eucalyptus.

All bouquets were tied together with a large silver bow.

The two flower girls carried a single rose with a diamante pin and ribbon covering the whole stem and a bow with trails for decoration.

The buttonholes were kept really simple, with a dahlia flower and couple of sprigs of eucalyptus.

The brides flowers all ready for presentation at the venue.
We always present the flowers to the bride that way we know we have got the designs right for her vision.

If you love these colours or style and would like to discuss how we can recreate this to suit your day then get in touch to book a consultation with me either here at the studio, at your venue or somewhere else convenient to suit you.

St Andrew's Church Kirton In Lindsey wedding flowers

Debra and Matt held their wedding ceremony at the beautiful St Andrew's Church in Kirton In Lindsey, Lincolnshire.
(To see the bouquets and buttonholes click here)
This is a modern church, having taken away the pews and replaced with chairs, meaning they can hold other more social events within the church itself.
When I first went to have a look around, the entire church was in upheaval having the floor replaced, a slight concern for all involved but as promised it was all done for the wedding.

This is quite a large church and so it was decided to have 3 pedestals. 2 for the altar and one for the entrance to greet guests on arrival.

The pedestals continued the pink and ivory colour scheme. Debra had specified using lilies within the larger designs and these were teamed with pink alstroemeria, ivory roses, salmon chrysants and gyp.

The altar through to High altar

The 'pew' ends were salmon pink lily with eucalyptus tied on the chairs with an ivory bow.

We alternated down the aisle with flowers and bows on alternate rows.

Dressing the church can be as full or as simple as you like. I know many couples who prefer not to spend money on designs here as you are not in there long BUT it is the main part of the day - This is where you say your vows - so a few select designs are appropriate.
All these designs were taken back to the venue for display at the wedding breakfast. Using them at both parts of the day can help with your budget and you get to keep (or give away to guests) after the day is over. Make use of all designs as much as possible.

When setting up at church I am happy to contact the warden and arrange direct with them times etc saving you a job and making it as stress free as possible. Flowers are set up on the wedding morning where possible so flowers are as fresh as possible for the service.

If you are having a church wedding please get in touch to see how we can help you achieve your desired designs in a relaxed and hassle free way.

Please look on the menu on the right for Churches: (list of some churches we have decorated)

I look forward to hearing from you soon

Hemswell Court Wedding reception

Vikki and her groom held their wedding at Hemswell Court Hotel. This is one of my nearest venues and it is such a lovely place it is always a pleasure setting up here.

The long and low design of the same flowers as the bridal bouquet (to see that click here), lily, orchids, alstroemeria, veronica and mixed foliage is placed on the ceremony table.

and later on moved across to the top table for the wedding breakfast.
(Always reuse flowers for each part of the day if you can, this will help your budget!)

Hemswell top table is a large oval table and as such can take a design of some depth.
(All lily stamens are removed from all flowers as they open. No pollen will stain)

The guest tables each had a 60cm martini vase as the central design and small jam jars of flowers at the base.

The jars held a variety of flowers including stocks, berries, veronica, stallion chrysants, alstroemeria and ferns.

The martini vases were a combination of lily, alstroemeria, berries, stocks and stallion chrysants.

Tea lights were added amongst the flowers too

The large design sits in it's own dishes so you can keep the flowers after the day and we can collect our hired vases back. This is done as early as possible the next day to minimise any problems. I have to say though there are very rarely any at this venue as they look after everything so well.

The Primrose room ready and waiting for the happy couple.
(Chairs are brought in from the ceremony room after the service)

If you are getting married at this stunning venue and are looking for a local florist then please get in touch. We can meet up here at The Studio or if you are having a venue meeting I can meet you there to suit everyone.
Look on this blog on the right, venue - Hemswell court to see other weddings we have set up at this beautiful venue.
(There is another corker coming up soon, keep an eye out)

If you like any of these design and have chosen another venue also get in touch and ask what we can create in your colours/theme.

We also hire out all vases etc for you to DIY. Ask us for prices and sizes.
