Bartle Hall Dressed to Impress with Glorious Summer Flowers

The completely fabulous Bartle Hall dressed impeccably for one of their Open Days , we had the pleasure of decorating both the Balmoral Suite in the courtyard and the Windsor Suite in the Manor House, we decided on a full on Summer vibe for the table designs in the Balmoral Suite, a glorious array of rich vibrant colour and soft summer pastels, tall and lower designs, classically elegant and romantically rustic we had it all...

A low rustic design set on stacked seed trays, posies of fresh Peonies, Dahlias, English Garden Roses arranged in jam jars and illuminated by candlelit votives, the table stationery was designed to match and was created by the fabulous Charlotte Designs

Loving all of the details in this beautiful table design, the small 'Jam Jar Posies' can be used as Pew End Posies for a Church Wedding or Chair dressings for a civil marriage

Yellow wedding bouquets

Thursday means it is colour day and today we look at ways to have a yellow themed bouquet.
Yellow is getting more popular over the years as bride's are wanting 'something different' and going for more vibrant colours.

We start off with a spring favourite of mine, the humble daffodil. Some florists won't entertain this flower because of the sap, but treated right and prepared well it won't be a problem. These bride and bridesmaid posies looked fabulous against navy dresses.

Love narcissus? Go with a shower bouquet of scented spring loveliness with a few ivory roses to tone down the yellow.

Another spring bouquet, this is gorgeous yellow double tulips, white hyacinths and cream roses, another scented posy.

Love tulips? a long posy of mixed white and yellow blooms are perfect for a spring wedding .

For a bright May wedding what about this gorgeous posy? Yellow lily, tulips and chrysanthemums with fern.

Or maybe you are a gerbera fan? These cute posies of gerbera and white september daisies and fern

or just gerbera are perfect for your maids.

For a summer wedding you can't go wrong with bright yellow sunflowers!

Team either with a cloud of gyp

or go with dark green foliage to set off the blooms.

Sunflowers and daisies are another popular choice.

For your smaller maids how about a single sunflower bloom?

Love daisies?White chrysants, September daisy and Chamomile mixed in with yellow sol and spray roses makes a pretty summer bouquet.

Chamomile daisy with craspedia is perfect for a light posy for your maids

add in green succulents for a modern twist on your bouquet.

Cute craspedia posies for the little ones to carry.

For a glamorous bouquet try yellow calla lily and craspedia with ivory roses.

For a more formal day a teardrop bouquet of yellow roses, white freesia and if a hint of blue is required triteleia flowers with fern.

A classic posy of ivory and gold roses with Veronica, stephanotis and foliage.

Or a mass of yellow roses with a collar of deep glossy green foliage and wild bear grass

Roses and freesia an old but classic combination for a wedding.

Modern colour combinations, purple and yellow with lots of herbs for a scented posy for the maids

and bride

Same colours, no foliage, a cleaner style with roses, gerberas, eustoma, september daisy and trachelium.

add in blue to the mix also works, yellow roses, purple calla, blue hydrangea.

Are you having a wedding around the colour yellow? Having a secondary colour? Let us help you to decide on the flowers. Hopefully this post has given you lots of inspiration for this often overlooked colour. Be bright, be bold, perfect for a spring wedding (lots of spring flowers are yellow) or for a summer do there will be lots of summer sunshine (even if it does be a typical British summer day).

Book in for a consultation and let us walk you through the planning of your flowers.
