Carla & Adam at St Chad's & The Great Hall at Mains

A month or so before this beautiful wedding we met up with the lovely Carla to show her a set of sample Bridal designs created especially for her and based on all of the information she'd provided at our Mood Board appointmet.
We'd made Boutonniere sample for Adam using an exquisite Fifth Avenue Rose
The Sample Wedding Bouquet included a collection of Roses in soft nudes and ivories with silvery grey foliages and berries
Jason was the FD florist on duty on the Big Day, he was at St Chad's early and had the pleasure of pinning on the Bride Groom's boutonniere
Jason pinned on all of the Groom's Men's Boutonnieres

The Mum's had lovely corsages to compliment their outfits

Our lovely Bride arrived in vintage style showered with blessings from above

The Bridesmaid's were wearing a teal shade and carried posies in shades of ivory, nude and grey
The Bridesmaid's Bouquets were created as smaller versions of the Bride's Bouquet
Our Bride Carla looked breathtakingly beautiful

The Top table was dressed with a collection of mirrored cubes with fresh flower posies

Glass tea light orbs were suspended from the designs and helped to create a magical atmosphere

Northern Lights Colours for Shelley & Ryan at Ashton Memorial & Lancaster House

This was a super special wedding for team Flower Design, our very lovely 'old' Flower Design Saturday Girl Shelley was getting married, now it's about ten years ago, when she last donned an FD uniform (we wore them back then), Vicky & Shirl had both worked with Shelley and tossed a coin to decide who would be going on the wedding (I couldn't as I'd promised to be at another wedding before Shelley & Ryan booked).
~
Beside's Shelley being part of the FD family she also went to school with our eldest Rebecca, as did Shelley's fabulous Bridesmaid Sarah, if all that wasn't enough Shelley's other Bridesmaid the lovely Joanne is an 'old' FD Bride Link, so to say this wedding was very special is somewhat of an understatement.
~
Shelley & Ryan's Mood Board was a spectacular one and celebrated the glorious colours of the 'Northern Lights' to recapture the moment when Ryan proposed. So, unusual flower varieties were called for, Shelley doesn't like Roses but loves Orchids and Calla Lilies, Proteas and Succulents all of which featured on their mood board.

The whole team worked on the designs the day before and we enjoyed every moment.

At last the big day dawned and our Vicky (she'd won the toss) & Adele presented the Bridal Bouquets
The Bouquets included a dynamic collection of fresh flowers; Phalaenopsis & Cymbidium Orchids with Proteas, Calla Lilies, Senecio, Snowberry, Succulents and teal coloured Hydrangeas

Vicky showed this bevvy of beauty how to carry their bouquets perfectly
Shelly's gorgeous Mum Scythian was wearing a fabulous wrist corsage to match her ensemble

Our team headed over to Ashton Memorial where the Boutonnieres were lined up ready to pin on to the lapels of the Groom and his Groom's Men
The Bride Groom's rather special boutonniere featured a Calla Lily with Berries and Hydrangea Florets finished off with silver bullion

The celebrations moved on to Lancaster House Hotel where the scene was set with a combination of high and low table designs
Our Enchanted Trees looked magical on some of the tables

We used a collection of 'Northern Lights' coloured glass to dress the top table with fresh flowers arranged in small groups and clusters

Tea Light Orbs and Orchids in Glass bulbs were hanging from the branches of our Enchanted Trees

Our work here was done, it was time to leave the party in full swing, huge thanks to Shelley & Ryan and both of their gorgeous families for choosing Flower Design to create their wedding flowers for them.
