Pink lily wedding

On sorting through my photos, it is a long job, I came across this wedding which has never appeared on the blog.
I have had interest in this bouquet at consultations so thought I would share with you all today.

A gorgeous teardrop bouquet totally in shades of pink. The centre star is a lovely asiatic lily with diamante detailing with a mix of sweet avalanche roses and pink eustoma and ivy trails.

A glorious bouquet for a bride who loves lilies.

The bridesmaids carried a small posy of a single lily flower surrounded with pink roses and cream eustoma.

The ladies corsages were a mass of cream eustoma one with black leaves

and one with green.

The grooms buttonhole was a pink rose with eustoma flowers, ivy leaves and diamante.

We also provided the long and low for the top table created with the same flowers as the bouquets, lilies, eustoma and roses. Add in some silver grass loops to blend in with the table centrepieces.

Pale blue, peach and white wedding flowers

A couple of Saturday's ago I had the great pleasure of creating the flowers for G & J's wedding.
G was a customer of ours back in the old days of the shop and had been searching for me. A mutual acquaintance put is in touch, un be known to him that I was the florist she was looking for, fate does have a peculiar way of intervening.
All of the planning took place via messenger and email, it is possible to do all of this remotely especially when the bride has a clear indication of what she wants.

The bridal bouquet was an amalgamation of two photos she sent me, the colours chosen by her. This beautiful bouquet has pale blue hydrangea, nigella, peach roses, and white scabious with senecio (silver) foliage.

The stems were bound in white lace

The bride also wore a lovely full flower crown to match her bouquet.

The 9, yes nine, bridesmaids each carried a single head of hydrangea surrounded by a cloud of gyp, the stems were bound in hessian.

All bouquets together

The bouquets boxed and ready for delivery.

The buttonholes were split. We had 4 peach and white, rose, hydrangea florets, gyp and silver leaf

and 11 white buttonholes of scabious, hydrangea florets and leaf.

All the buttonholes were made the natural style with stems bound with twine.

We also provided thank you bouquets, two large

and two smaller. In the same flowers/colours as the bridal party.

All of these were delivered to the bridal venue a few hours before the ceremony time. A relaxed day where the whole bridal party were in the venue grounds having hair and make up done as it was so warm and lovely outside.

If you love these designs, are having these colours or simply want to discuss your wedding flower style, please get in touch to book a consultation. Or if like this bride you are unable to meet in person, we can swap messenger or emails to plan your perfect flowers.

Gorgeous summer wedding flowers in pink, nude and green

It was a real pleasure to be asked to provide this gorgeous summer mix of flowers for the weekend's wedding of K & J's.

The bride chose lovely nude and pale pink roses, pale green eustoma, white astrantia, pink spray roses and thalspi and eucalyptus foliage.

The beautiful bouquet of lushness.

The stems were bound lightly with lace over hessian to give a natural loose bunch feel to the bouquet.

The bridesmaids all carried bouquets of gyp.
(I'm real sorry for the photos, so many came out blurred, these are the best of the bunch!!)

Three adult bridesmaids and a small posy for the flower girl.

Bride bouquet together with a bridesmaid and flower girl.

The groom wore a natural style buttonhole of a selection of flowers from the bridal bouquet (as per tradition)

The groomsmen wore gyp buttonholes with a hessian wrap to match the bridesmaid flowers (another tradition)

The ladies of the wedding party wore corsages of a pink and nude rose with other blooms from the brides bouquet.

Groom and groomsmen buttonholes ready for delivery

and the ladies too.
If going to the same venue, ladies and gents buttonholes are usually separated so they can go to the respective main getting ready area without any fuss.

We were asked to provide a small top table long and low for the sweetheart table at the venue.
Again a lovely mix of flowers from the bride's bouquet.

The lovely sweetheart top table at Cleatham Hall.

These sweetheart tables are getting very popular with my couples. Be that for family logistic reasons (parents who are divorced, with new partners, lets be honest, don't always get on) or whether just so the newly weds can spend an hour or so enjoying the day together, chatting over the wedding breakfast. Don't be afraid to bin tradition to suit you and your family set up. The day is a celebration and if setting the seating up differently helps the enjoyment flow then go ahead.

These wedding flowers are just so suitable for a relaxed set up and afternoon tea.
If you are having a similar day then we can help you style your flowers whatever the colours.

Christmas wedding flowers

Are you in the midst of planning a Christmas wedding? Looking for inspiration for your flowers? Well you have come to the right place, for today we look at the flowers that are suitable for a seasonal do.

This first one may be a promotional poster but look at those fabulous flowers! Roses, poinsettia, berries orchids, twigs and cones, very Christmas looking.

You can't beat the traditional white and red theme at this time of year and these bouquets would suit it down to the ground. Are your maids wearing red? Normally callas are the prerogative of the bride but here she had them mixed with scarlet red roses where her maids had them on their own.

We did this photo shoot in the height of summer but look at that candlelight! With the mirror and all that gorgeous eucalyptus it just screams Christmas. Who says a bouquet has to be flowers!

A beautiful red bouquet of gerberas, roses and berries framed with a variegated foliage collar this is just perfect for a Christmas themed day.

Another take on red and white, white roses with red hypericum berries lots of green foliage too to warm up the colours.

Who wouldn't love to carry this bouquet? Scrumptious velvet red roses packed tightly together with ruscus foliage and bear grass loops.

Another rose bouquet, this could be a bride or bridesmaids. Gorgeous ivory roses with lily grass loops and sparkly diamante, always a hit for Christmas weddings.

Another all white bouquet. This has lots of gorgeous flowers, roses, spray roses, ranunculus and freesia all packed tightly together and some sparkle in there too.

A slightly different take, a blue and white bouquet, who says Christmas has to be red!
Small ivory roses, white Cyclamen flowers and blue thistles. Teamed with silver bridesmaid dresses this would look fabulous.

On to the groom. A buttonhole with eucalyptus, pine and red berries in the natural style so popular at the moment.

Or how about the gorgeous red rose? Nothing else to add just a few dark green leaves and a loop or three of bear grass, simplicity is key.

On to the tables.

Don't want your theme to go too red? How about bringing in some orange! This low cylinder bowl is simply gorgeous with orange gerbera, red carnations, ranunculus and mixed foliage. A stunning addition to any table.

Or keep it very simple. Add a tray, some bottles, a candle or two, a few sprigs of foliage and red berries. Add gold cutlery and there you go a table fit for a classy wedding breakfast.

Add in a bowl and a few red blooms to ring the changes if you have lots of tables for a splash of colour.

Looking for taller displays? These candelabras are the same basic frame. One has the stunning crystal chimneys which will (when lit) throw sparkles across your venue or leave those off and have taper candles and a flower ball to adorn your guest tables.

Wanting sparkle but lower design? How about these crystal gem fish bowls? On their own with a candle or they could take a posy of flowers, say the bridesmaids bouquets

The ceremony table display shouldn't miss out. This blue winter display adds a twist to Christmas but with the seasonal spruce and holly foliage it sure won't disappoint.

Or go back to the traditional red and green theme. Lots of lush gerberas with roses and berries and winter mixed foliage.
Use these during the ceremony and ask your venue to transfer to the top table and reuse.

Back to your guests.
Having a black tie winter theme? Small black martini vases filled with ice stones, snake grass straws and an ivory rose display would get the nod from James Bond I am sure.

Hurricane vases come in all sizes, these are quite large but filled with an oversize candle and winter foliage and berries they won't take up too much room on your table.

Team those with these taller martini vases to draw your eye through the venue and add in some WOW factor.
These were filled with gerbera, amaryllis, roses and hypericum berries

Have these designs given you enough inspiration? We have plenty more flowery ideas for you, book a consultation and we can chat through your ideas and make a few suggestions to achieve your perfect look.

Christmas isn't too far away so don't delay book today!
(OR if you are a Christmas 2018 bride come along anyway and fine tune your ideas, it will soon be here too!)
