The Dower House Hotel

The second venue I am featuring is the Gorgeous Dower House Hotel at Woodall Spa. Another venue that goes above and beyond to help suppliers and it is always a pleasure to visit Ann and her staff. A gem of a venue, it may be a busy hotel but you would never know when holding your wedding here as it is so peaceful.

For starters the gardens are glorious in the summer and should you want an outdoor ceremony you can say your vows under this stunning arbour. Let us dress this for you with a garland either of foliage like this all eucalyptus design

or with a mix of flowers and foliage. Here we have stunning hydrangeas, roses and peony with mixed foliage.

Set under the lovely weeping willow certainly gives it a fairytale setting.

Relax straight after your vows at these gorgeous tables and adorn them with jars of blooms from your reception designs.

Add in a flowery entrance display to lead your guests to their seats

Once inside there is a lovely bar area with comfy seats for those wishing a quiet space especially later on in the day. Again adorn these with displays such as bird cages

jam jars

or posies giving a glimpse of what are to be the main displays for your reception.

Make full use of these and give to special guests as a moment of your wedding.

Whether you are bringing pedestals from your church service or wanting to add taller displays around the room, there are plenty of spaces available.

The top table has many options. From the popular long and low design, complimenting your bouquet

to foliage runner for a sweetheart table

or mixed jars of special blooms the full length of a traditional top table.

Whatever your style we can advise and inspire you to the right displays.

Pew ends can be brought and hung on chair backs

Then on to the guest tables. Although the room has a certain style, I have set up lots of colours and designs and all work well within the room.
The best type of style is country garden, it features so easily within the hotels setting. These jars of seasonal country blooms from a May wedding in mixed pastels along with log slices and moss numbers bring the outside in.

Another May wedding of pinks, jam jars of seasonal flowers and candle.

Purple bird cages

Glass cubes of lots of foliage with orchids and peonies add a touch of glamour to the room.

Or the most elegant setting I have created at this venue. The beautiful stunning crystal chimney candelabra with a mass of purple, lilac and ivory flowers.

The room looked brilliantly elegant when all the candles are lit and flowers placed.

The top table joined in with a low candelabra at each end

The Dower House looking simply stunning, one of my favourite ever set ups.

Pink lily wedding

On sorting through my photos, it is a long job, I came across this wedding which has never appeared on the blog.
I have had interest in this bouquet at consultations so thought I would share with you all today.

A gorgeous teardrop bouquet totally in shades of pink. The centre star is a lovely asiatic lily with diamante detailing with a mix of sweet avalanche roses and pink eustoma and ivy trails.

A glorious bouquet for a bride who loves lilies.

The bridesmaids carried a small posy of a single lily flower surrounded with pink roses and cream eustoma.

The ladies corsages were a mass of cream eustoma one with black leaves

and one with green.

The grooms buttonhole was a pink rose with eustoma flowers, ivy leaves and diamante.

We also provided the long and low for the top table created with the same flowers as the bouquets, lilies, eustoma and roses. Add in some silver grass loops to blend in with the table centrepieces.

The gorgeous top table with thrones for the happy couple at Lucarlys at Grimsby.

If you love lilies and are wanting to include them in your wedding flowers please talk to us and we can show you many more options for styling your day.

Gorgeous summer wedding flowers in pink, nude and green

It was a real pleasure to be asked to provide this gorgeous summer mix of flowers for the weekend's wedding of K & J's.

The bride chose lovely nude and pale pink roses, pale green eustoma, white astrantia, pink spray roses and thalspi and eucalyptus foliage.

The beautiful bouquet of lushness.

The stems were bound lightly with lace over hessian to give a natural loose bunch feel to the bouquet.

The bridesmaids all carried bouquets of gyp.
(I'm real sorry for the photos, so many came out blurred, these are the best of the bunch!!)

Three adult bridesmaids and a small posy for the flower girl.

Bride bouquet together with a bridesmaid and flower girl.

The groom wore a natural style buttonhole of a selection of flowers from the bridal bouquet (as per tradition)

The groomsmen wore gyp buttonholes with a hessian wrap to match the bridesmaid flowers (another tradition)

The ladies of the wedding party wore corsages of a pink and nude rose with other blooms from the brides bouquet.

Groom and groomsmen buttonholes ready for delivery

and the ladies too.
If going to the same venue, ladies and gents buttonholes are usually separated so they can go to the respective main getting ready area without any fuss.

We were asked to provide a small top table long and low for the sweetheart table at the venue.
Again a lovely mix of flowers from the bride's bouquet.

The lovely sweetheart top table at Cleatham Hall.

These sweetheart tables are getting very popular with my couples. Be that for family logistic reasons (parents who are divorced, with new partners, lets be honest, don't always get on) or whether just so the newly weds can spend an hour or so enjoying the day together, chatting over the wedding breakfast. Don't be afraid to bin tradition to suit you and your family set up. The day is a celebration and if setting the seating up differently helps the enjoyment flow then go ahead.

These wedding flowers are just so suitable for a relaxed set up and afternoon tea.
If you are having a similar day then we can help you style your flowers whatever the colours.
