It isn't long now until one of my favourite periods of the year - PROM SEASON! Last year, I celebrated my Year 11 prom and had a fabulous night. However, I would most definitely say finding the perfect dress, getting together complementary accessories and buying new makeup was the highlight of my Prom experience. 

Fortunately, I found my dream dress in the first shop I looked inside - it was a little local shop in a village close to my town, 'From Dusk Till Dawn'. My dress was a beautiful pale pink with thousands of beautiful gems embroided on the top half; it was literally the exact style of dress I had been pinning on pinterest months before I went shopping. I was extremely lucky to find it...and today I've come across a very similar gorgeous dress, along with others, to inspire your prom dress shopping experience. Mermaid V-Neck Long Sleeve Mermaid Dress - Oh how I wish I could pull something like this off!! Girls with long legs would look incredible in this sensual, flesh-showing masterpiece. I also feel that those with lighter coloured hair would suit this black dress, as the contrast in colours would draw attention to your locks. Also, I'm a huge lover of the floral/lace detailing on one arm.

Off Shoulder Mermaid Long Burgundy Chiffon Prom Dress - This tight-hugging prom dress is fabulous for defining your figure; the long mermaid style dress creates a wonderful pool of deep burgundy as it hits the floor. Additionally, the off-shoulder feature creates the ultimate classy look which would in sync with a wonderful jewelled necklace. 

MY TOP TIPS ON FINDING THE PERFECT PROM DRESS : 

1. DON'T - have a specific idea of what you want, otherwise your hopes may be shattered. Instead just choose maybe a colour or style of dress that you like and go from there.

2. DO - try as many different styles as you can, you want to find the style that you think looks best on your body. Also, it's so fun trying multiple gorgeous dresses on, so make the most of it!

3. DON'T - buy online from a store that does not offer free returns. Some companies send dresses that don't look ANYTHING like the image or the sizing could be a major issue.

4. DO - bring along people who you trust and are willing to give an honest opinion on what you look like. 

5. DON'T - buy any accessories or shoes before finding your dress. You never know what you end up liking until you've actually physically tried the dress on for yourself.

It all began last year...OK, it wasn't my fault. Basically, I became obsessed with Sarah Hashcroft from the incredibly inspiring 'That Pommie Girl' blog. Since becoming a fan of her outfits and blog, my passion for sunglasses as accessories grew and grew until I uncontrollably started to buy more and MORE and M O R E!!!

You can find these in Primark inside a matching pastel bag for a crazy £1! I can only find close high end dupes, so here is a similar pastel pair for £14.99.

Today's post is inspired by the plush attire in which can be rented from The Black Tux along with my personal aspiration of walking the red carpet one day..*in my dreams*. If I ever attended a red carpet event, this is the look I would go for - classy and intense with a whole lot of glitter! I mean, what is an award ceremony without sparkles, eh?

Like most people in the beauty world, I am an obsessive freak when it comes to palettes - I just can't get enough of them! Without question, I will continue to hoard them for the rest of my life, despite owning ever shade of browns and coppers under the sun. 

Without further ado, I would like to introduce you to the most affordable, yet incredible, neutral toned eye shadow palette from 'Born Pretty'. Born Pretty is an online company that sells pretty much anything under the sun, you name it... Watches, Garden Decor, Clothing, Tablets! However, I am, like every beauty fanatic, instantly drawn to the makeup section and couldn't believe the prices. This palette retails for the equivalent of £5 in the UK - how insane is that?!

Encased in a sleek compact, this 15 matte shade colour palette is the perfect product for any of you makeup beginners. Matte shades are perfect for those just starting with eyeshadow; they are usually easier to blend/work with and give a gentle subtlety to a look. Also, warm tones work so well and a popular favourite all over the beauty world - I don't know a single person who doesn't love a taupes and brown hues on the lid or in the crease. 

On swatching the eyeshadows, I couldn't quite believe the intensity of the pigmentation in each and every shade. Fortunately, this month I've been able to team up with Cloggs on a collaboration to showcase their wonderful collection of shoes - especially these gorgeous Lacoste Sneakers. 

CLOGGS - home of footwear - offer an incredible range of shoes, both for men and women, including boots, slippers, trainers, wellies, sandals and more. I was luckily gifted this beautiful pair of everyday black/white Lacoste sneakers to review and share my honest opinion on. These trainers are super comfortable, similar to Converse, but with an added luxurious touch - the interior is soooo soft. I love how simplistic the overall look of the shoes are; a monochrome pair of sneakers to match almost any outfit. 

Personally, I think they shoes would look perfect in some ripped jeans, a slogan tee and a leather jacket - chic but casual. The exterior of the shoes are extremely durable - there is an added strength compared to average trainers which informs me that these will last for a lengthy period. I cannot wait to start pairing these beauties with some outfits for a future post.

Recently, I've been thinking about how unadventurous I am with my makeup - even when I'm just messing around in my room in the evenings creating various looks on myself. To get one of the classic New Years resolutions into action ("try new things"), I decided to venture out on the lashes front and teamed up with Fever Collection to show off their stunning array of whacky eyelashes. 

Accompanied with a handy adhesive, my pair of Black Feathers With Plume Lashes popped through my letterbox on Tuesday morning. I was so excited to receive something so unique to my lash collection and know I will be in for so much fun when wearing them. The soft, black feathers ascend in size from the inner to outer corner, framing the eye in a sultry, and pleasing, way. I hope that some day I will be confident enough to purchase a couple vibrant-coloured ones incorporate in a crazy makeup look. 

During this year, I just hope someone I know throws a 1920's themed party so I can dress up in Charleston attire and apply these beautiful lashes - I feel they would bring so much to the outfit and totally fit the era. Also, they would be perfect for any Halloween related makeup looks - especially for bird characters, like the Black Swan. I will definitely be featuring these lashes in a tutorial this Halloween, so if you're still around then don't forget to stop by!
