The A/W15 Coat Edit

Coat by Missoni from Luisa World
Coat season has returned and I'm absolutely loving it! There is nothing I love more than picking out my A/W wardrobe each year, foraging for a new definitive coat that I will wear to DEATH over the entire season. What has made it extra special this year is that I've discovered FarFetch, an online site that holds beautiful designer clothing, which has inspired me to dedicate a post lusting over 3 of their 6 DEFINITIVE COATS OF A/W15. Oh, how I wish I could afford them...

1. The English Lady ~ Brush up on your manners this season, as AW15 heralds the return of the frightfully proper English heritage coat. Savile Row mainstays such as Prince of Wales check, nubby tweed and houndstooth look modern again, especially when worn with off-kilter accessories and your favourite granny handbag.

I am in awe at this sophisticated wardrobe piece; it gives off a truly vintage vibe which everyone is loving this year! The intricately designed patterns would incorporate a dramatic statement to a monochromal dress/outfit, knee-length heeled boots and vibrant handbag to add some extra fun to the look.

2. The Great White ~ Nothing makes you look expensive like winter whites - and not just because of the dry-cleaning bills. Shades like oyster, cream and purest snow white lift winter complexions and add freshness to your look. The hot AW15 update? Block it with separates in luxurious tones of oxblood and cyclamen pink.

Another trend I want to be involved with this year is the alluring white wraps everyone is wearing out and about. White is the colour to be worn in these winter months, helping to enhance those rosy cheeks and pale complexions. My personal favourite factor of white coats are that they contrast my dark locks, making my natural features one of my statements during Winter.

3. The Leather Trench ~ The Seventies favourite is back for 2015, fortified with a sex bomb colour palette – opt for Derek Lam’s cherry red for maximum hot-blooded appeal, and wear skin-on-skin style until winter’s bite brings out the goosebumps.

Finally, we have one of the most definitive coats I'd ever wear - I certainly wouldn't be able to pull this leather trench off but I know a lot of people who could. The vibrancy of the red is bold and striking; something you want to be wearing in the unevitable aridity of November/December. Outwear like this should totally be paired with a hot red-orange lipstick - I vote NARS Mysterious Red Velvet Matte Lip Pencil will do just the trick!

Luxury Nude Lips | Mac&Chanel

If you've been struggling to create that flawless nude lip that takes yours from concealer lips to Kylie Jenner, then you should carry on reading...

When wearing nude lipstick, I tend to be drawn to warmer pinks tones rather than cooler, as they work better with my natural lip colour. Usually, I find nude lipsticks to not be as long lasting as brighter colours, so the majority of the time I opt for liner to pair it with. Mac's Dervish is perfect for the job - it is the exact colour match for Chanel's Satisfaction and beautifully intensifies the warmness of the original tone. I apply Dervish slightly over my natural lipline to bring out my inner Kylie (I wish) and marginally enlarge them.

Chanel Rouge CoCo Shine in Satisfaction is a god send. A warm, rose nude with a buttery, moisturzing texure is all I could ask for in my optimal lipstick. It gives a slight glossy finish which is really flattering, especially in the winter months. This lip combo is ideal for everyday wear, as it is both subtle and pretty. The packaging is also to die for - I loooove the Chanel logo!

Thanks for reading x

That Perfect Rosy Complexion

Bonjour mes beaux lecteurs!

Here is a lovely little combo I have been absolutely loving during the last month. I thought this was a seasonal inspiration, as I know how everyone loves pink cheeks to compliment their dark lipstick during the Autumn months. I can't wait to share with you a little review of these skin dazzling beauties I bought mid-August.

Benefit Rockateur Blush (£24.50) - I know I'm really late on the whole Rockateur hype, but believe me when I say that I've been wanting this product forever! Despite the major dislikes of the packaging, I don't really have a problem with it. It sticks to the cute bene-famous packaging and what more could you want? Who cares about the packagaing though when you look at the product yourself. Rockateur is embossed with a cubic pattern, complete with the word 'Rock' engraved in the centre - hence the name. This powder blush appears to be shimmer based but nonetheless, it produces the most gorgeous pink flush to the cheeks - perfect for autumnal months (especially when that summer glow has started to wear off). Unbelievable product, well worth the steep price mark.

Soap and Glory Glow All Out Highlight (£11) - Glow all out is a luminizing radiance face powder, fit for dusting over parts of the face/body you wish to highlight; the back of the product suggests to apply it to your face, neck and shoulders. Personally, as the highlight is very peach toned, I tend to apply it on my cheekbones - fairly heavily if my skin is looking rather dull that morning. On a night out, I would also apply some, very lightly, down the centre of my face, focusing specifically on my nose, cupid's bow and forehead. This helps to provide you with natural glowing skin as well as faking that super tired and dehydrated, dull complexion.

Rockateur(left), Glow All Out(right)
To finalize, these products look insane when applied together on the cheeks. I apply Rockateur to the apples of my cheeks and Glow All Out to my cheek bones on a day-to-day basis. These really help me to achieve a gorgeous finish on my skin and I woud love it if any of you could help me and comment any cheaper alternatives for both. I will be forever repurchasing these, however I think they are going to last me a hell of a long time!

Love you all :)
