Pink // Worldwide Rainbow Outfits

Outfit  ~ Evening

Good evening all, I have a special little post today that involves 14 other lovely girls. We all got in contact by the wonderful Myah Skeete (www.myahrebbecasblog.wordpress.com) and have brought to you a collab which involves copious outfit colours. I got lucky with the colour pink - if you do not wear pink, no fear, scroll to the bottom of this post and click on one of my fellow collabers who happens to be styling your desired colour choice. Some of us have even included a few beauty bits and bobs related to the outfit/colour too!

My outfit is what I would call, 'evening-appropriate'. A gorgeous tight-clung, long-sleeved bodycon dress, perfect for summer because of the girly pastel pink shade. I paired the dress with nude suede shoes (LOL) and a nude, gold chained clutch bag. Personally, I'd wear this to a summer party; the bag is ideal due to it being lightweight and compact, which helps limit myself, and probably many of you, to carrying only the night's essentials (lipstick, powder, phone etc).

Dress - Select (£14.99)
Shoes - Next (£22.99)
Bag - New Look (£14.99)
Lipstick - Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Elusive (£7.99)

I find pink-toned blushes, eyeshadows and lips can really enhance the outfit. Here are a few makeup options that can add an extra little pink sparkle to your look: -

~~ LIPS - Mac Lovelorn - YSL 01 - Urban Decay Liar - Bobbi Brown Rose Blossom - Revlon Elusive - NYX Audrey - Tanya Burr Aurora - BLUSHES - Mac Fleur Power - Too Faced Sweethearts - Bourjois Jasper Rose - Benefit Rockateur - EYESHADOW - Urban Decay Naked3 - Bobbi Brown Pink Opal - Benefit RSVP - L'Oreal Naughty Strawberry - NAIL POLISH - Barry M ~ Mediterranean, Grapefruit, Pink Iridescent ~~

Don't forget to click on all of the girls blogs below, you won't regret it!!

Mini Mac Collection

As Mac is a very popular makeup brand, I thought I would do a lil blog post completely dedicated to the products I own and have tried. Shall we begin?

Studio Fix Fluid NC15 ~ Let's start off with my favourite foundation ever! I was so lucky to get this off of my friend Chloe(thoughtitboughtit.blogspot.co.uk). This beauty has a medium-full coverage, perfect if you ask me, with a fairly thick consistency. The finish is slightly matte but doesn't cling to any dry patches on the skin. NC15 is the lightest shade in the 'cool-toned' range, which is sad for those even paler than myself; luckily, this colour fits my skin tone exactly! 100% recommend to those girls who love a bit of coverage, like myself :-)

Fleur Power Blush ~ For a healthy flush to the cheeks, all you need is this little blush. Personally, I think the shade is very universal so would suit most skin tones - the colour is a mix between a bright peach and muted pink. The pigmentation is incredible; I would definitely recommend tapping excess off after swiping your brush. This is a colour especially suitable for those who love minimalistic/natural makeup.

Woodwinked Eyeshadow ~ This is honestly my favourite eyeshadow of all time. Woodwinked is a soft brown with ridiculous amounts of golden glitters running through, making the finish very metallic. The colour has slight olive-y undertones, so looks incredible on dark eyes. Overall, a really flattering eye shade that can be swiped all over the lid for a very glamourous but quick go-to eye look.

Cranberry Eyeshadow ~ Here comes another great eyeshadow of mine - CRANBERRY. Can we just appreciate how perfect this is for Autumn, I mean seriously?! A fiery red with hints of purple tones and some shimmer; this works beautifully in the crease, in fact pair it with woodwinked all over the lid for a total autumnal look.

Vanilla Pigment ~ The pigments from Mac are insane. Vanilla is a gorgeous off-white colour with gold glitters, making it perfect for inner corner highlighting. This can be a multi-purpose product, as I've read some people use it as a highlight and to your lips have a frosty lip effect (which sounds soooo cool, I really need to give that one a go!) I personally just use it in the inner corner of my eyes to brighten them up and on my brow bone for definition.

Rubenesque Paint Pot ~ I am patiently waiting to buy the melon pigment which completely complements this paint pot. In the meantime, I have been using Trick from the Naked 3 palette to build up the iridescent peach-gold effect. Mega must-have Mac product; it is just so aesthetically pleasing!

Bare Study Paint Pot ~ A neutral light champagne colour with subtle pink shimmers, creating the prettiest pearly sheen on the eyelids. Bare Study is a lovely base, as well as another inner-corner-highligher. I really love to wear this on its own, for those days where you just can't be bothered to apply excessive shadow.

Velvet Teddy Lipstick ~ The Kylie Jenner Colour. This has been all the rave throughout the end of last year and into this coming year. I totally agree with this hype because of the sophisticated matte finish and muted brown tone. A very flattering shade for women of all skin tones. *features in this look*

Lovelorn Lipstick ~ My second ever Mac lippie (I lost my first one - Angel *cries*). This is a lustre finish, which gives the lip an overall glossy look. This candy, blue-toned pink is very moisturizing on the lips and the formulation is super creamy - making it a dream to wear. I cannot stand drying lip products!!! *features in this look*

Lady Danger Lipstick ~ As Mac describes, this is a very 'VIVID BRIGHT CORAL-RED'. The lasting power for this product is well over 5 hours, which is amazing if you ask me. This is my latest MAC purchase and it most definitely has not let me down. All I need to know is a good ol' liner to pair this bad boy with?! Any ideas??

Rebel Lipstick ~ Satin finish lipsticks are my ultimate faves. Matte with a slight sheen :) I am in love with this lipstick and it has to be one of my all time favourites. A sumptuous, deep purple that makes your teeth look insanely white - what more could you ask for? This is also a great one for staying power - it even stains my lips when trying to scrub it off!!! The richness of the colour seriously enhances your lip shape, which is perfect for those who want to achieve fuller, bigger lips. *full review here*

Dervish Lipliner ~ This natural nude can easily redefine your lips and give them a more 'plumpy' aspect. This pinky-mauve colour fits Velvet Teddy to a 'T'. The liner is highly pigmented, so the product glides on the lips instead of nastily tugging.

Thank you so much for reading

Love you all

Urban Decay Naked Basics 2

If you have been reading my blog for a while, you will know that I am a crazy Urban Decay fan - especially when it comes to their ultra pigmented, buttery eyeshadows. I have been using this little palette throughout the whole of January and I cannot get enough of it!

Naked Basics 2 holds all matte shadows (with the execption of skimp - it is slightly shimmery), all of which are neutral and highly wearable for anyone. I am in love with all the names - all cheekily related to the whole 'Naked' range. There are two lighter shades and the rest of the palette is orientated around taup-ier/grey colours...very similar to the Naked 2 which happens to be my most used and very well loved palette.

Over the past month, I have been really into subtle eyeshadow with a slick feline flick. I have been wearing stark all over the lid, cover in the outer corner(also mixed with frisk in the crease) and finally skimp on the inner corner and brow bone. As skimp is the only shade that isn't purely matte, it looks beautiful when highlighting the brow bone. I'm also really into the warm tone cover beholds, as it really accentuates the eye shape and compliments hazel/brown eyes. Finally, when discussing the colours, I love how the darkest shade, undone, is not an intense black, as seen in the first Naked Basics palette. I think a muted black is far more wearable, perfect for wearing as smoked liner and nicer for creating more natural looks.

On the topic of formulation, this palette does not fail to meet my expectations. Like all my other Urban Decay palettes, the shades are all very buttery and pigmented. This makes it so much easier to blend the shadows, especially those being applied in the crease. I do this usually with my E.L.F Professional Eye Blending Brush.

Overall, I must conclude that this is a definite must-have for those who are a cool-toned shadow fan, love matte shadows, are a lover of Urban Decay palettes, obsessed with neutral eyes or anyone who travels alot, since the palette is small and compact. I cannot compare this to the first and I don't own it/never tried it but let me know in the comments below if you loved it!

What are your favourite products from Urban Decay? Do you like their eyeshadows as much as I do?

Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual // Review

I was one lucky girl to receive this very handy book on Christmas day, kindly gifted to me by my boyfriend. He is pretty good at the old thoughtful and great gifts, eh? I think so, and I'm sure you'll agree if you've been reading my posts for a while now.

Anyway, being a keen beauty lover and enthusiast, I though this was an incredible gift, especially for the likes of crazy makeup addicts - like me! I have been completely obsessed with this and have already gathered many tips and advice from shopping in stores, to perfect brows, blush application and even the history of makeup. This book is crammed with sensational beauty knowledge that you wouldn't want to miss out on and a great gift for all beauty lovers! (p.s. I know this has been out ages, but I'm a loser and have only just discovered it)

On the front cover, the book claims to contain everything 'from beginner to pro', and it really does! I have not seen such in depth tutorials and guidance on how to apply every single makeup item known to man. The step-by-step sections are very concise, yet hold great information for the perfect application. I have already learnt soooo much about Bobbi and her makeup do's and don'ts; I just seriously cannot get enough of her!

One massive bonus is that she also talks about skin types. Last year, I struggled to tell what type of skin I had and what I needed to maintain healthy looking and feeling skin. Now I have outstanding knowledge about my combination skin and know exactly what to eat, as well as apply to my fave, to keep my skin feeling fresh and healthy. Page 32 is extremely handy for those unaware of their skin types, as it contains analysis of all variations of skin - normal, dry, oily, sensitive and combination. On this page, you can find out, just like me, which category you skin fits into and find out the right care you need to perform to help your skin.

Overall, I am pleasantly surprised with the amount of knowledge I have already gathered from this book. I can't wait to read more and find out about more things I have no idea about. This book is a definite 10/10 from me and I would totally recommend it to ANYONE who is into makeup or wishes to go into the beauty industry.

Would you like to see more book reviews? Maybe ones that aren't makeup related? What else would you like to see me post?

Bobbi Brown Pink Opal Palette // Cohorted

I saw everyone all over the internet (youtube, twitter, blogger etc) raving about a website called Cohorted, so I decided to check it out. OMG, am I glad I did?! It sells the most amazing, and very popular, products, whilst completely cutting down steep price boundaries. A website every beauty blogger needs!

So, I decided to purchase this gorgeous Bobbi Brown package, which came with a limited edition eye shadow palette in PINK OPAL and a mini mascara. The price was reduced to a crazy £23.75 so I just had to get my hands on it ASAP. The packaging and postage was free too, and despite the long wait for the product...it was worth it! Also, you can gain Cohorted points every time you buy something from the website - these points add up to money, which you can use to buy more products but for FREE!

I haven't been able to use the mascara yet but the palette I have. The pretty shimmery shades are perfect for all year round and give a glamorous feel to any makeup look, day or night. This is a must-have for every beauty blogger and I really recommend you get your hands on it, even if you do have to pay a little more than I did. WOW - the packaging. It is heavenly - the shadows are encased in a holographic rose gold palette which I am completely and utterly in love with. I cannot wait to get more use of it. About the shades - there are a girly array of different pinks, that also look amaaaazing mixed together on the lid.

To conclude, I would totally recommend checking out Cohorted and get in with deals whilst you can. You can sign up for their emails on the site, so you are first to know when your favourite products are up for grabs. Hope you enjoyed this little post <3

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils // Review

Hey there everybody!

I hope you are all well this Saturday evening. Tonight I have a review on one of my favourite eye products ever...the phenomenal and infamous NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils. Seeing as they were so popular, I decided to buy a few colours to try over the past few months in my local Next and when I went on holiday to Ireland, as they fortunately had a stand there.
Carry on reading if you wish to find out more about these little gems, even if you've seen 343243 beauty bloggers already post and rave about them.

I decided to buy three contrasting colours so that I was able to incorporate each of them into various looks. The three colours are:
Milk - A pure white. You have probably seen every beauty guru, youtuber and blogger talk about  using this eye pencil as a blank canvas before the use of eye shadow. This helps to ensure the colours you use on top 'pop' and increases the vibrancy and pigmentation of the shadow - it honestly does! This is a staple for your makeup collection; milk is suuuper long-lasting, works well on the waterline as well as the lid and a great eye opener in the inner corner. My favourite out of the three by far!
Yogurt - A subtle, yet flattering pink. Although it looks very metallic in the swatch and when first applied, you can really blend it out to great a beautiful champagne sheen, perfect for the lid. I would totally recommend this shade to those who love natural makeup/don't like to wear a lot. I tend to wear this during the day with lighter makeup; it looks amazing on its own with a thin sweep of eyeliner.
French Fries - A brown with gold/olive undertones. Despite having used this the least of the three, I really love the colour pay off and turn out. The olive/gold/brown tones really reflect off the eyelid and create the prettiest dark smokey eye - the colour when intensely applied really reminds me of Mac's melon pigment. I am sure to be wearing this a lot more now we have entered the cooler months, as I opt more for warmer, darker colours on the eye.

Packaging wise, I think they are pretty simplistic - a white pencil shaped product with a transparent plastic lid, handy when you want to find the colour you want fast. The only issue is that the writing comes off fairly easily, but this isn't much of a problem as the colours can be easily seen.

When looking at pigmentation, these babies have got it all. The swatches above say it all really - one swipe and BAM - an intense, bold colour, exactly the same as it looks in the pencil. The creamy formula is always a plus for me too because they are incredibly easy to blend, whether you want it all over the lid or in the crease. I also love how these don't tug on your eye lids, as some products similar to this tend to do.
Overall, 10/10 for these amazing little pencils, and for such an affordable value. I bought each of these for just £5.00 each in the UK and Ireland - soooo worth the money. I intend to purchase lots of these in the future and might even sneak a few onto my Christmas list..hehe! I recommend this to all those who love a good ol' cream shadow, an amazing bargain and all those that are eye shadow fans in general.

Any further questions on the product that you didn't think I covered, please comment below at the end of this post.

Love you all lots x

Autumn Inspired: Bold Lips

Hey there everyone! Today I have the other half to my Autumn Inspired Lips - the bold. I know this can sometimes be scary to some, so I also posted a neutral autumn lip which you can check out here, if you prefer steering clear of the deep reds and purples. Let's get started...

Makeup

Primer: Benefit Porefessional
Foundation: Garnier BB Cream mixed with Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum
Concealer: Collection Lasting Perfection (Cover Blemishes), Nyx HD Photogenic(Highlight Undereyes)
Powder: Seventeen Miracle Matte Pressed Powder
Highlight: Soap and Glory Glow All Out
Blush: Bourjois Jasper Rose
Bronzer: Benefit Hoola
Eyebrows: BeautyUK High Brown All in One Brown Definition Kit
Eyeshadow: Naked 2 - Bootycall(Lid), Tease(Crease), Mac Cranberry(Blended in crease and outer corner)
Eyeliner: Maybelline Gel Liner, Sephora Coffee(water line)
Mascara: Benefit They're Real
Lips: Rimmel Kate Moss 107

Everyone knows that Autumn is the time when everyone goes crazy with berry's, reds, purples and burgundy's. I chose Rimmel's ever so famous Kate Moss Lipstick, in the very popular shade 107 because it a true deep red. I think this colour gives great sophistication to both a day and night look and is very wearable, without the red being too bright and overpowering. Stay tuned on my blog to see a top 5/10 Autumn lipstick faves in the next week or so.

Do you prefer to wear dark or neutral lipsticks in the autumn? What is your favourite time of year?

Mini Dior Shopping Spree...

Here's a little post to show you how carried away I got at the Dior stand I found in Ireland. I bought a couple of items and would love to show them to you... HERE GOES!

Firstly, I picked up this gorgeous Dior Addict Lipgloss in the colour SEAFARER.

Dior Addict Gloss 642 Seafarer RRP £22

I have fallen in love with this bright coral coloured lip gloss, which has been perfect over the summer months. Seafarer accentuates your lips by creating a medium colour payoff - it is in the middle of sheer and opaque. I adore the glossy moisturizing feel this leaves on my lips too; I am very happy with this purchase.

Afterwards, I looked at the eye products. I spotted the eyeshadow palettes and may have fallen in love with this one called SUNDECK.

Dior 5 Couleurs Transat Edition 564 Sundeck RRP £41

To begin with, the packaging is incredible - a deep blue compact lined with silver. It even has a cute little pocket with the CD initials on! I love how luxurious this palette looks, inside and out. There are five powder eyeshadows, three shimmery and two matte. I love the one in the centre as it is engraved to look like rope; it is a gorgeous muted orange with golden flecks scattered all over. All of these are very everyday wearable, in my perspective (most probably because I always stick to neutral eyes). I cannot wait to try out all the colours!

Finally, I picked up a little summer nail polish duo in two amazing colours, a shimmering sea blue and stunning mint green. This is from the Summer Bird of Paradise Collection called SAMBA.

Dior Bird of Paradise Summer Nail Lacquer Duo 001 Samba RRP £22

I decided to pick up this duo because 1. I am completely obsessed with mint green and collect mint green nail polishes and 2. I have wanted Pacific from the Barry M Aquarium collection for ages now and this is an exact dupe. However, if you are on a tight budget, I would obviously recommend getting the Barry M one, as they are only £3.99. I cannot wait to see how these nail polishes apply.

I hope you enjoyed this mini haul. If you wish to see any of these reviewed in a future post then make sure to leave a comment! Don't hesitate to comment some constructive criticism; tell me what you like and dislike about my posts, give me suggestions to improve etc. I want to make y'all happy:-)
