Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade | REVIEW

Brows are one THE most important part of my makeup routine. Unfortunately, I am one of those people who suffer with sparse brow hairs; therefore, they are difficult to shape when I get them waxed whilst further costing me an eyebrow tint for the beautician to ever SEE the hairs they need to wax.

Finally, after many years of trying out awful brow pencils and powders, I have at last found the formula to satisfy my brows righteous needs...

Formulation - The highly-pigmented formula aids smooth application onto the brows - the creamy texture allowing the product to glide with ease. Also, the 'gel' is thick so a little product goes a long way; realistically, one dip covers one of my brows.

Colour - Not being able to buy Anastasia in England is such a pain when choosing colour matches. Therefore, I tentatively trusted Google Images to supply me with the correct colour match. To my luck and fortune, I succeeded and the shade 'Chocolate' matched my brows perfectly. This shade is slightly warm toned, complimenting my pale/ivory complexion. Finally, it is simple to create the gradient effect (dark to light from ends to where the brows meet) - all you need to do is apply more product onto the end of your eyebrow.

Angled 12 Brush - This brush has saved my life; it gives me ultimate precision when crafting my eyebrows, simple application due to the thin bristles and angled shape, and accompanied with a spooly to help tame those annoying stray hairs!! I would 100% recommend picking this up along with the Dipbrow Pomade. I totally plan on purchasing one for gel liner too.

Sorry for the cringey selfie, but this is what the product looks like on my brows.

Have you tried the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade? What is your holy grail brow product?

ASOS Spring Fashion Wishlist

After Christmas and recent birthdays, it is safe so say my bank account officially hates me. Therefore, all I can currently do is look at clothing websites and lust after the beautiful new spring collections, glancing at gorgeous shoes, pretty dresses and my favourite - sunglasses!

I decided to put together a want list in 3 sections : clothing, shoes and accessories, to let you know what I'm waiting to get my hands on over the next couple of months. ASOS had such a good range of Spring attire so I've incorporated products from both highend and affordable brands.

What is your favourite product(s) from my wishlist?!

Lacoste Black Sneakers | Cloggs

Fortunately, this month I've been able to team up with Cloggs on a collaboration to showcase their wonderful collection of shoes - especially these gorgeous Lacoste Sneakers.

CLOGGS - home of footwear - offer an incredible range of shoes, both for men and women, including boots, slippers, trainers, wellies, sandals and more. It gets better, not only do they sell a wide collection of comfortable footwear, they also market branded shoes; eg. UGG Australia, Converse, Hunters Wellies and obviously Lacoste.

I was luckily gifted this beautiful pair of everyday black/white Lacoste sneakers to review and share my honest opinion on. These trainers are super comfortable, similar to Converse, but with an added luxurious touch - the interior is soooo soft. I love how simplistic the overall look of the shoes are; a monochrome pair of sneakers to match almost any outfit.

Personally, I think they shoes would look perfect in some ripped jeans, a slogan tee and a leather jacket - chic but casual. The exterior of the shoes are extremely durable - there is an added strength compared to average trainers which informs me that these will last for a lengthy period. I cannot wait to start pairing these beauties with some outfits for a future post.

If you're looking for some fancy new shoes, I would totally recommend checking out CLOGGS - they offer quality shoes with ridiculous reductions, whilst holding constant sales/discounts. Don't miss out an bargain!

~ Valentines 2016 ~

On the evening of February the 12th, Aidan turned up to my door with a gorgeous bunch of 18 roses. I absolutely adore red roses and love that he puts the time and effort into buying me the perfect bunch each year. The 12th of February, as you all know, isn't Valentines day but we had to make ours last over the 12-13th because Aidan went away to see family on the 14th.

I thought I would document this cute this day trip surprise Aidan had in store for me on the 13th, I will try not to be as cringy as possible. I promise!

We woke up at 8:30am and headed down to our train station; at this point, I still had no idea where we were going or what we were doing at all so I was super hyped up. I literally do NOT have the patience for surprises.

I wore a striped jumper for Urban Outfitters (it was freeeezing), ripped jeans from Select, brown boots from Primark and a khaki parka from Matalan. Also, I create a soft golden/orange glitter eye to match my jumper and a nude lip (Mac's Mehr).

We arrived at Madame Tussauds at 10:30 and pretty much walked straight in, despite the large queue waiting outside. I was super excited as a couple of weeks back I told Aidan I really wanted to go here this year and he booked us a trip.

Spending hours taking pictures with actors, pop legends, the Kardashians, HARRY STYLES, scientists, monarchs and more, my little legs started to get tired. After finishing looking thoroughly through the rooms, we watched an amazing 4D film, including multiple super heroes, followed by a small ride.

How can you go to London without having a little shopping break? I spent a lot of my time in Urban Outfitters - Aidan made a huge sigh of relief when he saw they'd placed a huge sofa on one floor - obviously created for the extremely bored boyfriends. However, I didn't buy anything from there; I just couldn't find anything I reaaaaally wanted.

At the end of our shopping antics, I bought the Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour, Charlotte Tilbury's Bond Girl Lipstick and The Girl On The Train book (which I have read already oops, it was incredible. Comment below if you've read it or would like to see a review on my blog).

As it is our tradition, we ended up in Northumberland Avenue's Prezzo for our pre-Valentine's meal; I'm a fussy eater so stuck with unadventurous options. I had the Cibatta w/ balsamic and olive oil for starters, margherita with season chicken for mains and chocolate fudge cake and icecream for dessert.

To finish the evening off on a cringe/romatic note, whichever you want to look at it as, we took a walk to the place we had a photo on our first anniversary together, followed by a long walk along the embankment. The rain was really light and soothing - we both really like the rain so it was extra addition to a great day.

Finally, before heading home, we stopped by St Paul's Cathedral because neither of us had seen it up close. The architecture/exterior was beautiful and I could only image it to be more stunning inside. I love looking at old buildings, I think there is just something so incredible about them. I would love to live in a old-styled, vintage house - how cool would that be?!

I hope you enjoyed reading about our day. Apologies that it isn't a normal fashion/beauty themed post.

Crazy Feather Lashes with FeverCollection

Recently, I've been thinking about how unadventurous I am with my makeup - even when I'm just messing around in my room in the evenings creating various looks on myself. To get one of the classic New Years resolutions into action ("try new things"), I decided to venture out on the lashes front and teamed up with Fever Collection to show off their stunning array of whacky eyelashes

Accompanied with a handy adhesive, my pair of Black Feathers With Plume Lashes popped through my letterbox on Tuesday morning. I was so excited to receive something so unique to my lash collection and know I will be in for so much fun when wearing them. The soft, black feathers ascend in size from the inner to outer corner, framing the eye in a sultry, and pleasing, way. I hope that some day I will be confident enough to purchase a couple vibrant-coloured ones incorporate in a crazy makeup look.

During this year, I just hope someone I know throws a 1920's themed party so I can dress up in Charleston attire and apply these beautiful lashes - I feel they would bring so much to the outfit and totally fit the era. Also, they would be perfect for any Halloween related makeup looks - especially for bird characters, like the Black Swan. I will definitely be featuring these lashes in a tutorial this Halloween, so if you're still around then don't forget to stop by!

Finally, don't forget to check out the amazing costume range available at Fever Collection - they have extremely inexpensive outfits for dress-up occasions.

Oreo-Filled Cookie Recipe

After seeing endless videos/pictures on social media of everyone's favourite treats encased in cookie dough, I knew I had to get baking! My boyfriend and I fell in love with the oreo-filled choc chip cookies and began to prepare a recipe...

Gather the ingredients below and follow our method to bake some of the best cookies you've ever tasted. If you do end up making some/a variation of these cookies, don't forget to send us a picture of them via my Twitter/Instagram Direct Messaging.

Ingredients (serves 10) :

200g Margarine
200g Caster Sugar
2 Eggs
400g Plain Flour
2 tsp Vanilla Essence
200g Chocolate Chips (100g White Choc & 100g Milk Choc)

Method :

1. Grease your baking tray and preheat the oven to 180ºC/350ºF/Gas Mark 4.

2. Cut the margarine into small cubes, place in a bowl and mix the sugar until a fluffy mixture is formed.

3. Add both eggs to the mixture and stir.

4. Sieve the flour into the mixing bowl - if your mixture looks like the desired dough, begin to knead.

5. After kneading the dough, incorporate your choice of decoration/added extras (ours were white and milk choc chips!!!)

6. On a clean surface, break a small section of the dough mixture and press until a flattened, circular shape is achieved. Place an oreo, or your specified treat, onto the dough and fold the outer layer so the oreo is completely covered.

7. Repeat step six for the rest of the mixture. Place on the baking tray and bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes. Remember to leave them to cool on a rack for a further 10 minutes after being in the oven.

8. ENJOY! Eat them alone or acquire some mint chocolate ice cream as an added touch - it tastes amazing!

I hope you all enjoyed this slightly different post - comment below if you would like to see more recipes on my blog in the future. :-)
