Summer Blushin' // Collab w. Glitter Melody

Today's post is yet another collab with the wonderful Hannah from Glitter Melody. Together, we have created a very summer-y based collab in which I share with you my favourite blushes this season and where Hannah informs you of her summer lip picks. Make sure to check out her post or head over to her social media accounts below:

Blushes have been my evergrowing addiction this summer; not only do I love my luxurious highend blushes, but I really adore my beautiful drugstore numbers. Today, I thought I'd focus on these bargainous beauties as they're all very afforable - all £10 and under! During the warmer months, I love wearing coral/peach toned colours on my cheeks to compliment the lighter makeup I tend to wear.

1. Sleek Blush by 3 Palette ~ Lace (RRP £10.00)

My favourite drugstore blushes definitely have to be by Sleek. With complimentary sleek packaging, a fantastic range of seasonal appropriate shades and flattering trios, Sleek definitely get my vote for best blushes of all time. Lace is the one to go for if you're looking for a summer blush palette - the colours are perfect for this season as each are vibrant and hold warm undertones.

2. Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher ~ Jasper Rose (RRP £7.99)

For those who are a fan of the rose-gold craze, I would definitely take a look at this one. Jasper rose is a pretty rose gold pink that looks gorgeous on the apples of your cheeks. The tiny golden flecks catch the sunlight really easily and enhance your complexion, making your look super healthy. If I'm spending the day in the sun and have little eye makeup on, I will always pop a dab of Jasper Rose on each cheek.

3. Rimmel Stay Blushed! ~ SunKissed Cherry (RRP £4.49)

A liquid formulated blusher is something I hadn't experimented with until the 2015. I'm a huge lover of powder blushes so never expected to love another formula, let alone this one. However, Rimmel's Stay Blushed blends like a dream when applied with a stippling brush. This one is on the orange/coral side of the spectrum - a glittery eye and nude lip makes an amazing combo with Sunkissed Cherry.

4. E.L.F Baked Blush ~ Peachy Cheeky (RRP £3.75)

Probably my most worn and most loved summer blush for the longest time - Peachy Cheeky by E.L.F. Baked blushes are one to go for if you want to get a lot for your money. They appear to last forever - I've owned this E.L.F Number for many summers now and it looks almost untouched. The various colours running through the peach basis makes it ever the more pretty in sunlight, just like the bourjois baked blush.

5. MUA Blusher ~ BonBon (RRP £1.00)

Those who don't like spending a lot on makeup, head on over to the MUA counter in your local superdrug. They offer fab little makeup pieces for reasonable prices. Even though their standard/quality isn't as wonderful as other drugstore brands, they do a few things worth trying out. For instance, their blushes and lipsticks are products that particularly stand out for me. I loved the look of bonbon for summer, a muted pink for days you want your makeup to look slightly more lowkey and natural. The colour payoff is super pretty, just make sure to spend a while blending it in as the powdery formula can cause issues from time to time.

I hope you are all having a fabulous summer! What have you been up to? What are your favourite blushes to wear in the summer?

Don't forget to check out Hannah's favourite lipsticks :-)

Lots of love

Come Sail With Me | Turkey Day 13

Nothing could beat a day sailing upon the crystal turkish sea, bathing on the boat's balcony, enjoying a bubblegum twister and jumping into the water bays for a good cooling down. I was in a very happy place this day - I loved jumping into the sea from the boat as I've always wanted to! The sea was so so salty so it tasted awful but it was all worth it to complete one of the many things on my wishlist.

Today's boat trip involved visiting 5 different coves, including Tarzan Bay, Samanlik Bay and Aquarium Bay, to stop off at and chill in the sea's waves for an hour or so. It was mesmerizing looking down into the water and being able to see so far beneath you. The turquoise blue of the water was so aesthetically pleasing to look at and to capture photos of.

Unfortunately, I woke up with an eye infection this day so was very cautious to jump in but I'm so glad I did it otherwise I would have totally regretted it. Also, I got the chance to snorkel because the boat offered the equipment to do so; I'd never snorkelled before so it took me a while to get the hang of it. The experience was fabulous - it was incredible being able to look so clearly under the sea (Little Mermaid reference - eek) and snoop at the little fishes lives. Here's to another wonderful turkish adventure today - cheers!

Sorry if you're fed up of my constant Turkey posts, I can assure you I will be back with some more beauty in a few days - BE PATIENT!

Until tomorrow...

Dinner View, Orange Lips and Night Time Antics |Turkey Day 10

Ever since I've arrived at the Green Forest Hotel, I have not once been disappointed with the food. There is variation at dinner daily and foods from all different cultures so there is something for everyone which is lovely. I was a huge fan of their chicken kebab sticks, their beef and also their grilled chicken (not photographed). How could you not enjoy dinner anyway when you're admiring this beautiful view out of the window?!

Tonight, I decided to whip out my black skort and pair it with a hot red crop top; to further add to the outfit I borrowed Jess' qwerky kimono, which I must say I'm very jealous of! Oh, and what other lipstick could compliment an outfit better than good ol' Mac's Lady Danger!

After a wonderful night of playing pool, listening to the music and watching the entertainment it was time for bed. All these days of relaxing and doing nothing exhaust me...don't ask me how. Craving oreos has become my thing out here in Turkey so I ended the evening with a nice cuppa and some oreos.

Until tomorrow...

The Most Amazing Day Of My Life | Turkey Day 9

I'm overly excited to write about the many extraordinary encounters of my 9th day in Fethiye, Turkey. Not only would I consider the entire day the best of the holiday, I would hand-on-heart say it was the best day of my life. Throughout the day, I met new people (including a couple of Turkish families), saw the most wonderful views, participated in numerous challenges and travelled from sight to sight in an authentic black jeep.

On our tightly-packed agenda, the first stop was to meet the other jeeps for the safari and load water guns at a petrol station. This was rather surreal as both kids and adults were throwing buckets of ice cold water over each other and shooting from vehicle to vehicle down the motorway?! Like most, I've never experienced being caught in a water fight whilst driving down a busy motorway jam-packed with four families in a single jeep. INSANE!

When travelling to the first sight, we witnessed Tlos which was an ancient building that dates back 2,000 years ago. The ruins were still beautiful despite the leftovers being dilapidated, as it sat in the middle of a large mountain. We arrived at a minute place with a cave to be given a itinerary of what our day behold; we hired some gross shoes that felt horrendous on the feet but were waterproof for our later rainforest antics and filled up the buckets of water for more fighting fun.

The trout farm was our next stop. A little cafe embedded in a minature forest that was surrounded by streams with cute fish in. There were lovely seating areas for us to chill out for half and hour before moving to a different venue for our lunch. I chose chicken for lunch and was extremely impressed (considering the cost for the day was £10 including food). We all ate on top of a cliff that overlooked Fethiye and the view was incredible.

After lunch, it was time for one of my favourite parts of the day - walking in the rainforest, wading through the water until reaching the waterfall at the end. With 40 degree plus weather, I had no choice but to stand under the water and let is plummet, quite viciously might I say, onto my skin. The water was ice cold, the feeling was refreshing but completely breathtaking - I literally couldn't breath (but in a good way??).

Later on our journey, we got given the oppurtunity to stroll along the second largest gorge in Europe. Unfortunately, due to utter exhaustion from our rainforest quest, we decided to pass and chill with a few drinks by the river. Relaxing by water is so serene and calming! Time flew by very fast and it was time for the most exhilarating 10 minutes of my life - WATER RAFTING. Being thrown into a river on a ring with a oar in hand, we all set off individually along the icy river. Admiring the mountains was my intention as I floated, at first, slowly down the heavy currented water. However, my admiration was broken as I hit a very shallow part of land in the middle of the water and probably ended up with a bruise the size of my head on my butt! It was soooooo painful but it was soon over as we swiftly picked up the pace and travelled down the rest of the river.

Finally, our day had come to an end and what better way to celebrate that than a good old mud bath?! I'd been wanting to have one for so long and it was super fun. Myself, Jess and her mum covered the entirety of our bodies (including our hair) in the thick, gloopy mud that laid at our feet. The photos taken were so funny and I cannot wait to share them with you - I look like Shrek :). We soon washed off the mud and my face began to tighten and felt softer than usual so I'm hoping it done part of its job. If not, it was still a good laugh nonetheless.

Sorry for a babbly post but I needed to document the amazing events of my jam-packed, fun-filled day. The memories created on day 9 are some that will remain with me for a lifetime and I cannot wait to share them with the world, it is hard to put into words the time I had today. Thank you for reading and comment below if you've ever been to turkey. Did you go on any excursions? Have you had a mud bath before?

Until tomorrow...

Dark Lips, Dark Eyes & Daisies | Turkey Day 7

Evening outfit for today's relaxing day was this frilled-lace white top and daisy skirt from Boohoo. Tonight I chose to use golden jewellery to pair and compliment the outfit colours - the golden necklace above is from Newlook and the shoes are from Primark.

For my eye makeup, I applied gold glitter all over the lid and one of Maybelline's infamous colour tattoos in the shade timeless black to deepen the outer corner of my eye and crease. This created a very dramatic/grunge eye look, which is very different to my go-to evening makeup. I must say, I absolutely fell in love and will most definitely be recreating it again for future occasions!!!

Sorry that today was only an outfit post, tomorrow will be another relaxing day but don't forget to check out day 9 - it involves a jam-packed day trip that was honestly the best day of my life.

Have a wonderful day/evening!

Until tomorrow...

Lilac and Lace | Turkey Day 6

It seems to me that we have finally got to grips with life in Fethiye, Turkey. We have settled in smoothly and have easily fell into a daily routine; therefore nothing other than chilling by the pool and eating junk food it was today. Oh and I finally got the chance to make myself some tea and miss England a little!!

Tonight's outfit;

Myself - White laced top with lilac skater skirt. Lipstick - MUA matte lipstick in Lilac Belle.

Jess - Like yesterday's outfit, Jess decided to opt for a monochrome outfit. A white skater skirt, black tee and a vibrant statement necklace for a pop of colour.

Until tomorrow...
