This was such a beautiful wedding and we have had the most fun planning all of the details with lovely Henrietta & Phillip, we've enjoyed a long distance relationship, with these two living in London, squeezing in three brilliant and (I feel essential) appointments, culminating in a spectacular samples appointment where we presented our ideas in line with their beautiful mood board and brief..
We learned lots, the fabulous Henrietta is a cookery writer and Phillip has an eye for detail, as a result a very detailed and considered collection of Bridal Flowers & Berries was decided upon.
I'd included a plethora of 'edible ingredients' not least a glorious collection of fresh Herbs; Dill, Rosemary, Peppermint, Oregano, Nigella Seed Heads, Poppy Seed Heads, Elderberries, fresh Chive flowers, Crab Apples and Roses, the fragrance was delicious!!!xxx
Phillip's sample Poppy Seed Boutonniere
We created a collection of table designs, each one was unique but linked to the others by the fabulous autumn materials. I loved this hurricane lamp design set on a raised verdi gris finished pedestal.
One of our super romantic verdi gris candelabras
On the big day Jason headed off to Waddington to present our beautiful Bride with her Bridal Bouquet, he also dressed the front door with a wonderful Autumnal swag.
The front door swag included Crab Apples, Astilbe, Rose Hips, Skimmmia, Berried Ivy and Eucalyptus, Snowberry, Quercus, Chasmanthium Latifolia and Pyracantha Berries
Jason revealed the exquisite Bridal Bouquets
The Bridal Bouquets were luscious a cornucopia of all that is great and good at this time of the year, Classic Hydrangeas, Scabius Seed Heads, Ivy & Eucalyptus Berries, blonde Hypericum, Wax Flower, Dendrobium 'James Annie Black', Crab Apples, Dill, Rosemary, Peppermint, Oregano, Nigella Seed Heads, Poppy Seed Heads, Elderberries, fresh Chive flowers, Crab Apples, Myrtle, Viburnum Tinus, Pink Peppercorns and Floribunda Roses
The Church of St Helen's was in walking distance, the sky was bright blue and the excitement levels were rising!!xx
Our beautiful Verdi Gris Candelabras framed the wedding ceremony space perfectly
Posies of fresh Brassica's, Astilbe, Scabious, Peppercorns and berries dressed each alternate Pew end lining the aisle
The candlelit remembrance Posy including Freesia and Dahlias sat on the ledge inside Church
We lined up the boutonnieres ready to pin them on the guests as they arrived
The Boutonnieres were all unique and created from exquisite autumnal materials
The Bride's Mum's Corsage created from the same palette of natural materials as we'd used in the Bride's Bouquet
The ceremony was conducted by two Ministers the very brilliant Rev John and Father John
Our Bridal Party walked to Church
Henrietta looked breathtakingly beautiful in her 'Poppy Gown'
The colours looked absolutely perfect and the Poppy Seed Heads completed the design
Huge Congratulations to Phillip & Henrietta from all of the team here at Flower Design Events
The celebrations moved on through this spectacular landscape to The Inn at Whitewell, where Chloe and I had been busy setting up for the Wedding Breakfast
Chloe & I were busy lighting candles as Jason arrived back from Church...
The tables were dressed with a combination of high and low table designs, creating a natural rhythm around the marquee
Our Candelabras were decorated with the most sumptuous array of Berries, crab apples, Peppercorns, Roses, Autumn leaves and Seed Heads.
The table designs were set on slate and were dressed with a collection of Autumn leaves, low Posies, Succulents and floating candles dressed the table tops
The hurricane lamp design set on a raised verdi gris finished pedestal surrounded by a plethora of autumnal magnificence
Small Urns were filled to overflowing with a gorgeous posy of autumn materials
The view from the marquee at The Inn at Whitewell is just breathtakingly beautiful
Lovely Snowberry
These two lovely and talented ladies were putting the finishing touches to the delicious looking wedding cake which was a naked fruit cake dressed with crystallised fruits, Physallis, fresh ivy and crab apples
These guys (At this point they were just sound checking etc and got suited and booted later) were amazing reminded me a lot of Post Modern Juke Box, they're called The Black Sheikhs and did a 1920's version of modern tunes really unique and worth hearing.
Couldn't resist snapping these on the side of the road as we left Whitewell
This morning Jason & I were back at Whitewell bright and early to clear down, the flowers all looked gorgeous still
The wedding bouquets this morning looked almost as good as they had yesterday...
Couldn't resist snapping them on Jason's new iphone...
Huge thanks to Henrietta & Phillips for choosing Flower Design Events to create their wedding flowers for them!!!xxxx
