Winter Weddings are always super atmospheric and we have an opportunity to celebrate the season with a vast array of wintery textures, colours and materials which aren't around at any other time of the year, which is always a wonderful and inspiring thing for us.
When you also have the pleasure of working with a fabulous family the super lovely 'Speddings' at one of the most sensational spots in the UK; the truly spectacular Swinton Park and you get to work with one of the very best photographers out there; James Jebson Photography, if all of that wasn't enough one of our all time favourite singers James Edgar was on board too, things just don't get any better, we were all so excited ...

We'd met up a good while ago to discuss Charlotte & Matthew's plans, they'd created a beautiful mood board with lots of wonderful detail, it was very much a 'Country House Party' feel that they were going for, a little 'Downton Abbey' very grand and seriously romantic.
We got together again in November to make a set of sample designs for them to see.
I created a beautiful wintery Bridal Bouquet including a plethora of seasonal loveliness, Succulents, Amnesia & Blanchette Roses, Paper Whites, Hellebores, Ranunculus, Anemones, Eryngium Thistles, Berries, Winter Evergreens and Game Bird Feathers
We made a sample Boutonniere for Matt featuring an Amnesia Rose with Ranunculus, Eryngium and Viburnum Berries with a signature feather all bound with jute string
We made some sample table design ideas including a tall winter Flower Bomb surrounded by suspended candles and floating candles
A suggestion for the Top Table and other low guest table suggestions
It was the most glorious January day when Jason rolled up at Swinton Park bright and early on the wedding morning, it really couldn't have been more gorgeous!!!
He presented our beautiful Bride and her lovely Bridesmaids with their Bouquets and shoed them all how to carry them perfectly
Charlotte looked beautiful even in her dressing gown, she loved her wedding bouquet and knew just how to carry it.
Exquisite winter wedding bouquet in soft muted tones
Downstairs the scene was set for the ceremony with a Grass Aisle lined with candlelit hurricane lamps and fresh fragrant Rose Petals
The Fireplaces were dressed with posies of fresh flowers and lanterns
Two of our magnificent pedestal designs framed the Registrars table beautifully
The Registrars table was decorated with posies of fresh flowers set on slices of tree and clustered at either end so our Bride could lay down her bouquet in the centre
The Pedestals designs looked wonderful and included Roses, hydrangeas, fresh fragrant Eucalyptus, trailing Amaranthus, Eryngium and Lissianthus
Charlotte's super handsome Bride Groom the lovely Matt was first to have his Boutonniere pinned to his lapel
The Bride Groom's Boutonniere featured an Amnesia Rose with Ranunculus, Eryngium and Viburnum Berries with a signature feather all bound with jute string
The super talented James Edgar doing what he does best...
The ceremony room was filling up nicely and winter sunshine was streaming through the windowsThe Bridesmaids looked gorgeous and their bouquets complimented their vintage mauve gowns
The totally adorable Sofia made the perfect flower girl
We'd made the little 15 month old Flower Girl a tiny posy of fresh flowers to match the Bridesmaids bouquets
Charlotte looked absolutely breathtakingly beautiful, her gown was by Maggie Sottero from The Bridal Lounge in Poulton
I absolutely adored this wedding bouquet it captured all that is great a good at this time of the year
Huge Congratulatins to Charlotte & Matthew from all of the team here at Flower Design Events

Such a beautiful wintery Bridal Bouquet including a plethora of seasonal loveliness, Succulents, Amnesia & Blanchette Roses, Paper Whites, Hellebores, Ranunculus, Anemones, Eryngium Thistles, Berries, Winter Evergreens and Game Bird Feathers
What a gorgeous family, congratulations to all of them xxx
Inside the dining room the scene was set for the wedding breakfast with guest table dressed with a variety of table designs.
Our super tall column vases topped with one of our 'Flower Bombs' provided drama and height in the room
Our Baroque Candelabras dressed with winter evergreens, Hydrangeas, Roses and Eryngium Thistles looked stunning and so elegant
The Top Table was dressed in a "rustic glam" style with tree stumps set on mirrors and posies of wild fresh flowers and succulents spread along the length of the table, the whole design was illuminated with silver tea light votives that were distributed along the length of the table
The Bridal Bouquet took centre stage on the top table and looked truly magnificent
The Fireplaces were dressed with fresh flowers too, it's all about the details!!
The beautiful wedding cake was dressed with fresh flower corsages, we'd designed them to suit and fit the cake perfectly
Some of the tables were dressed with our low table designs too
Our work here was done huge thanks to Charlotte, Matthew and both of their lovely families for choosing Flower Design Events to create their wedding flowers for them.
